morning peeps, off to a shit start, blown either the ignitor in the ballast of the e40 socket for the bulb but either way were not cooking on hps today, nowhere open to replace e40 and sparkie buddys not about ... cant be trusted not anyways so looks like an investment in a lumatek dimmable and new reflector....

had been useing a dutch barn type reflector might go for a parabolic this time, used cool tube etc before never tried a para..

anyone here useing them...
Ive a vertical parabolic and i love it. Great coverage and even heat spread. Highly recommend

Also 80 quid for an omega dimmable ballast ive had one near 2 years and hasnt given a bit of trouble

brand names not important at this stage been honest, i`m a cheap and cheerful kinda fella just seen a deal on the lumatek, sick of hold upafter hold up, see never had these issue`s when grows were fire toogether overnight, do a litttle bit of planning and everything goes to shit.. suppose its like the random nights out are always the best ones...murphys law...

germ update:: 3of 12 have popped give them another few days and call the rest fails..

@Spud, the sun king parabolic (small) is what i was looking at..

could really do without the outlay, one birthday last week, another next week, crimbo, birthday just after crimbo... changed car in summer, went through test last week cost a few hundred to put it right, sooner the better were up and running...

Yeah ive had the digital ballasts and its great, fuck all sound from here, stays cool and no rf interference so no complaints n she feels like shes well built, all solid, nothing flimsy.
Must be making u alot more anxious about getting it going with all these setbacks.

Wow AE, can't believe they even grew that much from being ignored. Just shows you how it really is a weed

shows you that i think we fuss a bit too much over them, seen plants stress over lights, training def`s etc and so on and yet still produce for there growers.... that and could be just blind luck hahahaha..

Nice little build man must be cool as fuck having a Lil secret room.
getting there dude, only a slight leak over the door, had to cut the ply with a half blunt hand saw, the little rip saw blew a fuse when i pulled the trigger, hence the crooked cuts...hahaha, its plenty big enough for veg box and all.... love to have a few hundred quid to throw at it abd build it right straight away but this will be a work in progress, pain in arse hanging lights and what have you then working the diamond reflective liner around evrything but needs must....

i like the challenge of putting it together, first time i`ve actually built a grow room tho, always used available space, and as the whiteish walls in the pics will prove its been done in there aswell, ages ago now tho....

i`m on a run of bad luck... gas went while was doing the kids dinner, last few quids gone now... but its official were growing in the shed...

lets hope thats the last straw and its onwards and upwards from here.... few more timbers in tomorrow for light and duct hangers and possibly the last of the frame so alls needed then is bang in polyiso and wrap in film...
