I have a activated carbon filter and a ionizer I can no longer smell it in my condo but apparently other people can. Ona gel isn't available in my area. Is there anything else I can do my room is about 24 square feet and I have four plants one is 4 1/2 feet others are about one to two feet and have not started the flower phase yet. Any constructive criticism is appreciated also thank you.

what do you mean by housekepper? maid? i certainly wouldn't be growing if i had a maid around the place. unless it was all perfectly legal and the smell comment was more a polite "some people might not like it" or whether it was a "you're not being subtle you're gonna get in trouble before too long"

I guess, get 2 plug in air freshiners-of the same scent. Put one outside the room, and one in the room. You could look into those fresheners that spit out a puff of smell on a timer and have it staggered with the one in the grow room. Set them to 1/2 hour intervals, but staggered so one goes off every 15 minutes.

Well we have house keepers come by once a week they just clean. My grow room is in my closet in the office and it stays locked when I'm not in there. I'm always here when the house keepers are and recently they asked me if we smoked pot. and suggested we get a certain type of candle.

Carbon filters only work if the room is sealed from the beginning Eg if you find an air tight container attach the carbon filter to one end then the smell would not be able to leave except through the carbon filter. I have heard of people using cooker extraction units as a cheap alternative but don’t ask me if it works. If they are in say your bed room then you need to get some white plastic the sort they use for footings on building sites in England (you may find it in a skip for free) then use it to make a wall hot glue gun it to the ceiling down the walls across floor don’t worry peels of easy enough if you want to take it down. Now cut a small hole to crawl through at the bottom once inside glue another bit of plastic over the door much wider than the hole bit of Val crow hot glue job done now attach carbon filter on the extraction yes now the room will be much hotter and will require air intake and extraction+Carbon filter but will solve the smell problem

You can order ona online with no real suspicions and shipping would be cheap. Maybe it's time the housekeeper gets a raise

I have never used it but from what I understand you simply open it up in the area you want to use it in. I would probably place a small fan above it. Also, others have suggested to poke holes in the lid rather than opening it fully if the smell is too intense for you.

have you looked at ozone generators? for around 120$ you can get a nice one that'll do 5500 cubic feet. they don't have to run long at all, no sound from them and the leave the smell of a thunderstorm or waterfall as a biproduct of the co3 formation.

I like mine a lot.

kiss-assyour nuts, unless you have a grow card? here try this

CAP OZN-1 Ozone Generator Odor Control Hydroponics HPS
CAP OZN-1 Ozone Generator Odor Control - NEW IN BOX - The C.A.P. OZN-1 Ozone Generator attacks and neutralizes odors at the source, eliminating odors caused by smoke, mold, mildew, pets, cooking and damp basements by generating ozone (O3) - one of the most powerful oxidizers available. O3 doesn't just mask odors; it removes them and then harmlessly converts intoto CO2 and oxygen. The system is good for deodorizing up to 5500 cubic feet (Ozone output is 1000 mg/hr). This system will generate more ozone than necessary for most grow rooms if run constantly. It can be connected to a timer to cycle on and off at a preset interval. This is great system for removing bad smells and helping to keep grow areas more sanitary.

i get yohu now. i live in a tall building so there is a lady who comes around once a week. ent smelt nowt yet.

whether you tell her you simply smoke or not, it means the smell is out so yeah, sort it out. iff your grow doesn't allow for you to effectively use carbon filters, then as said, you're gonna want to splash out and get an o-zone or whatever is required.

as said, yo're mad if you're not legal and don't jump straight on this, which it seems you have though, so good on you. the sound of my place smelling like the aftermarth of a thunderstorm sou/nds fantastic! i might have to buy one just for the smell

The fan connected to the carbon filter must run 24 hrs a day and create a negative vacuum in the room. So all air leaving the room must pass through the carbon filter. Also the charcoal is only good for a year or so, depending on the use, then needs to be replaced.
