You are hung up on drag nets for bottom fish draggers . I am not a dragger, I am a shrimp fisherman. Big difference between the two fisheries. Because our shrimp are very small compared to a bottom fish dragger we excluded everything that isn't smaller than your little finger. And you are looking up studies that are involved with catching bottom fish, with nets.

AC I will explain some more about what you are really talking about and how it has nothing to do with what I do but it would be a good different discussion.
The ineffectiveness of exclusion trawl nets have to do with the difficulty in excluding larger fish from a bottom fish dragger because the fish you are targeting are the same size of fish you want to excluded . So they have been experimenting with net design and other stuff without the success the shrimp fleet has experienced.
The only problem with our debate is that I have nothing to do with those fisheries so when I give you the information about what I do you keep going to some other research. Our debate started with you thinking I was raping the ocean with a bunch of by catch and it ended up not being true so you are floundering around the internet trying to save face and it just didn't work.
