Only one of my three little angels is showing real potential at this point. I have not grown Gunslinger before so maybe the twisted leaves on number 1 is normal, but number 2's mottled leaves don't give me much confidence in the end product. Number 3 is doing pretty good compared to the other two. No signs of sex yet on any of these. I am blaming the slow growth on the 50 degree night temps in my garage. 20190224_084550.jpg 20190224_084606.jpg 20190224_084613.jpg
And number 3. Probably will end up a male with my amazing luck.

Oh!, I need to hire this guy for my son's next birthday party.....can spit them directly onto the barbeque, no waste in this Italian household.
Damn, aint that Dawgs cousin? He'll get you a deal .
So, i woke up around 4 am last night & checked on my Puppies. Should've took a pic cuz it appears they are peaking out on the acid i feed them around that time.
If they look like that tonight then expect nightmares people. Seeing them pray like that & grow before your eyes is enough to crush most growers hopes & dreams of winning this comp.
Sorry to say guys n gals bit Im not only in it but Ima win it.
Glad the busted light i converted is a 35k cob rather then a 3k. The mega awesome plant response happened with the pushing of a little magic switch that is apparently border line legal. But it is so now you all will feel the Wrath of Amare Tech coming up on you with the quickfast. Prob only 2 weeks away from showing sex.

-What i dont understand is how growers are getting away with multiple light sources that are not connected as one????- Starting to wonder if there's a bribery scheem going on here???
You guys sending Dawg MilkBones or somethin? He likes Snausages.

Unfortunately some of you are just Waaaaayyyy farther ahead & i dont get it.
Seeds weren't even supposed to touch water till the 15th. Oh well.

I hope it's not a bad thing to have shown sex 2 weeks ago and have a plant that is growing an inch a day because if it is I'm in trouble.

You have to start and finish under the same light. This means you can use one single100, 150 or 200w fixture or 10pcs 10 or 20w Osram bulbs as long as you don't change something its still the same light from start to finish!
Add another 5 bulbs and you're out!
Chance COBs, strips, single diodes or something else and you are again out.

You could even build a mini sun cloak system for your tent made of 5pcs 1x 1' frames, each with 5 vertikal 1ft strips.
Even with 5 small 30-50w frames it would be still your light and if you use it from start to finish it would be okay.

Testing out coco probably wasnt the best idea for my first attempt in a cup. Hopefully they shake off my murder attempt
Cocos a bitch to master imho. I took me a year of going to all other forums and spending hours and hours taking notes on the coco sections. If you figure out coco you will not be disappointed. I would give yall coco growers advice but I need to secure the number one spot LOL.

Have you checked the run off, brother? With pure coco you want the PH around 6 and nutrients with every watering. 600ppm for the current stage would be enough. You have for sure a too high PH and a high PH is a sign for salt built up and therefor you have almost no cation exchange.
Flush them with ~500ml nutrient solution untill the run off has almost the same PH and ppm values like what goes in.
Flush her at least once in a week to remove salt built up. I do it right before the light goes off and in the morning they get 700ppm/PH 5,6-6,2 again.
Believe it or not but it's also my 1st coco adventure and I feed her 3x the day now but each time enough to cause as little run off. Its called coco drain to waste and when you feed 3-5x the day there is no reason to go higher like 700ppm.

So first thing to do is flush her and make sure the PH is around 6.
Do not feed her until the cups are almost dry.
Start feeding every day untill you have lets say 50ml run off. Remove the run off but check PH and TDS evry now and than and when the ppm starts to get higher its time for another flush. You can also try a feed, feed, water, feed, feed, water regime to avoid salt built up.

I foolishly went by a chart, when i should have known the feed was too high given their growth and that they were in a cup... Lesson learned.
I have been checking ph going in, but i think overfeeding is the main culprit here.
Thank you for your advice, i do appreciate it.

Yeah, most of the time ⅓ to ⅔ strength is enough! That's the same as long as I can remember. On most of the bottle nute charts they recommend using the upper limit. But in none of these charts they recommend to flush out excess nutes regularily. Especially when coco gets dry the EC goes up and with not enough run off you will get salt built up pretty fast.
I've used light mix(peat moss + perlite, 0,7mS EC) for a long time to have more control over the nutes. And the salt built up issues was almost the same. The more water is used or evaporates the higher the EC will rise. For this reason its the best to build up a good root system first and then keep the coco wet all the time. There is still enough air and with every watering the roots also get fresh air. When the run off drips out at the bottom fresh air is soaked in on the other side.
Coco only acts like hydro if you water it a few times per day otherwise it behaves almost like soil with all its bens & cons.
