LITTLEBAT ROCKS!:blsmoke:
Yeah, she's a 4-star babe, all right! ;)

To whomever sent me the Afghani/MK seeds, thank you! I'm not sure which of you sent them since I'm assuming the return address was bogus...it came from a city where I haven't sent anything...so either it's one of you or the seed fairy is looking out for me!!

So of the four kinds of seeds I put in paper towels yesterday morning, the papaya looks like MAYBE one of them is getting a tiny tail -- my fingers are crossed it's a big healthy girl! The Afghani/MK didn't crack; I put a few more of those into the towel. Seamaiden's mystery seeds were a-poppin' -- two of them had tails and are now in rockwool & soil. One's in the cab and one's outside. Two more of the Connies burst out big tails overnight -- it's insane, when these things pop they pop! So I now have two Connies and a mystery (I'm going to call them SMS for "Seamaiden's Mystery Seeds") in soil in the cab. There are Connies in each of the two reservoirs; one wasn't doing well so I replaced it with one of the seeds that popped yesterday. Three more Connies and a SMS outside as of tonight. I cleaned out my reservoir today and refilled it with bottled water, 1/8 tsp of GroAqua, and one drop of Superthrive. So far so good!!

Okay Honkeytown, this is just for you! :)

Pics of the outdoor Connies (The May 1 plant is getting really big, I think it would be about 18" tall if it wasn't trained), the little pots outdoors where the new Connies are reaching for the sun, and some pics of inside the cab. Yes I am going to take down the foil and get mylar soon, I just haven't been to the hardware store lately!

And also, one of the Afghani/MK popped overnight, and so did another SMS, so they're in rockwool/soil now too, outdoors. I am determined to see how much of a garden I can get out of my little apartment and terrace! Now that I'm growing it just seems even more bizarre to me that pot is illegal. It's such a fascinating and beautiful plant, and it's so much fun to grow. It's so weird to me to think that I have a terrace full of plants of all sorts...but some of them are illegal!

I started misting my leaves today -- I read somewhere on here that if you mist the leaves it forces the roots to work harder, and I'm wondering if that will help with the overwatering from all the rain. However, we've had two very sunny days (finally) so they're drying out a lot. Anyway, I misted them with regular tap water with one drop of Superthrive...I'm entranced by this Superthrive thing and want to see if it really works!

I've been reading on here about molasses, too, and just picked some up at the grocery store. That's right, even though my plants won't be flowering for months, I bought molasses for whenever they're ready. That's just the kind of dork I am. :D

My Mystery seeds are damn healthy, that's for sure. :) Watch them, I gave you a large batch because I'm seeing such a difference in phenotypic expressions with mine. :) You may get some that appear to have stronger Sativa traits, and others may have stronger Indica traits. All came from the same 5th generation clones.

Seamaiden, I was trying to go to your gallery to look at them but it says it's not available! Can you give me a link?

It's interesting that they're so different! I can't wait to see what I get. I have three of them now! Yay!

Do you mist your plants? If so, do you put Superthrive in the water?

I generally don't mist, though I did do a foliar feed a few days ago. With fish emulsion. Don't do that, ok? It clogged the sprayer and that was the best of it.
Here's the gallery link: Seamaiden's Gallery.

Hopefully that will do it. :)

P.S. I've been so busy photographing sexual organs that I haven't really done any other updating. I promise to work on that as well. I have sorted out my camera issues and am learning how to use it on full manual.

Well now you know I have to ask about that one!!
Yep, what a lead in, eh? Preliminary Sexing. I had to make a run to Stockton this afternoon, a bit of a last minute thing. So I couldn't tag and photograph any more plants. Some of them still aren't showing any sex at all, let alone anything to really tell by. Others are unmistakable. Others I'm just not sure!

Las Conquistadoras went under the sun today, they're getting the south exposure, almost all day sunlight. Fish emulsion stinks.

Ha, Hydro, my friend knows the woman who makes those products, that's how I got them -- I'll be sure to pass that information along!

I've given up on the papaya, unfortunately. I've tried everything. I had the exact same experience as Seamaiden where it looked like one was getting a tail and then it sucked back in! Craziest thing, I had no idea that was even possible!

So far I've gotten one of the Afghani/MK (will someone please speak up if you're the one who sent them? I think it might be someone to whom I was supposed to send Connies, and I threw away the envelope and emptied my email box, so if I owe you please let me know! Four out of five of the SMS popped and are in soil. Those fuckers are hardy! I can't wait to see how they all differ and compare them to the growth rate of the Connies.

Do any of you plan to cross the Connies with something else?

Hey little Bat! Dude, I was wondering if you got the 'letter'. Glad you got the Afghan/Master Kush. I'm germing in the paper towel/zip lock method. It works good! Almost e-mailed you today. Two of my females-THC Bomb & Easy Sativa was placed in the male farm by accident. They crossed with either Afghan or Orange Bud. Got 100 seeds of the Easy Sativa this morning. I'm pretty excited about it. I'll private you with my add.

Ah the mystery is solved! Send me your address and I will send you a package right away! It's ready to go, I just need to know where to send it!

Today is scorchingly hot and some of the plants in my garden are wilting. The tomatoes, berries, and greens in particular. The top few inches of the girls' soil was dry enough I decided to give them a bit of "power water." I've been reading so much here I had to give it a shot. Shown here are the ingredients. Half a capful of Superthrive, 1 tsp of GroAqua, 1 tbsp of molasses in a gallon of water. Yes, I know the GroAqua is not organic, but I'm trying not to get carried away and to use what I already have. The one other thing I plan to buy for the rest of this grow is bat guano for when the outdoor plants start to flower, just because my medical grower friend swears it's the greatest thing in the world.

My cost for nutes so far, for both indoor and outdoor grows:

GroAqua -- free with cab
Superthrive -- $12
Molasses -- $3
FloraNova Bloom -- $5
Worm castings -- $8

The bat guano is $11 at the local garden store. So all told, for all nutes for both grows (13 outdoor plants and 5 indoor), I will have spent $39. Not bad...

I put a little treat in the picture for you guys...delicious purple Afghani mixed with a hydro indica from our friends on beautiful Long Island! :)

Yum. 8) I can't find bat poop around here at all, and we have CAVES (Google my address and you'll see what I mean). I was able to find some kind of bird turd, but I don't think they're all the same. Guess I'd have to do some research there.

Ooo... I just might have to get somma dat myself.

ME, EITHER! I've got a few that are showing signs, but they are moving so incredibly slowly, it's as though they haven't got the energy to pop their wee boners well enough. I can't help but wonder if that's a function of the strain since the seeds are so much more gracile than the others I've got. Which reminds me, time to give 'em a feed! I hate using the fish emulsion near where I sleep, but I won't burn them. Ok, that's done. :D

Thusly, therein lies the wisdom of bagseed. ;) So far Las Conquistadoras are about on par, but it's early still. One has tweaked leaves, some sort of burn, or pest assault mayhaps. I don't know, but it's continuing to grow as it should.
Do any of you plan to cross the Connies with something else?
No, not this year. I would prefer to keep each strain as pure as I can, which will be interesting with the CA Indica x B.B. plants, impossible to this point with the Papaya. I may actually try to recruit some coastal help should I manage to get these Papayas sprouted fully (once sprouted, I think I can get the little fucker to grow! then again, I thought it'd be no problem getting it germ'd), as I think it will be late in the season and I don't know about setting up anything indoors. If we had our solar set up, then I would do that. I figure the Connies should be good to go at this point, though. :)
