I think everyone on this site has high standards. I would think it would be logical to have high expectations going to a place where weed is LEGAL. I have a medical card, and can grow my own, but even that doesn't compare to how it would be if weed were legal federally here.

P.s. Where might one get those vortex seeds??

Thanks sub....just read your story with my herbal breakfast and morning coffee. Great read. Thanks man :) Sorry it was such a dissapointment though.

The Netherlands is a much bigger place than Amsterdam and there are coffee shops all over the place. I visited Delft once. It's a really old and beautiful university town. I stayed with a friend there and we hit a few bars sampling the local and belgium beers a plenty. The local autumn 'bokbier' had just been brewed.....lovely stuff. Then we went to a really small coffee shop and smoked up with the locals. Had an excellent time

and yeah.....you have HIGH standards. But this is not a bad thing!

I have never seen such crazy trichome covered buds as yours man. I am so buying into your genetics this year :blsmoke:

I have been hearing this kind of report about the cups being a scam for a while now.
Its a real shame and something that i didn't really want to believe, really pisses me off.
I was appalled to hear about this to be honest.

Personally i think that some of your plants are some of the best i have ever seen and you can count on my business for the future.:blsmoke::peace::joint:

What a lame unprofessional atmosphere.

This thread prevents me from ever wanting to attend any cannabis cup.

you would think they could at least afford a decent venue, some class, some respect for the hard work and dedication involved. A professional event

I had always wondered what the cup was like in person...its appears no different then a cheap tatoo convention with a seedy atmosphere.

what a shame

grow up High Times what an insult to the marijuana community

We should start our own cup.

One that promotes some class, a nice affair with appeal, good food, music etc., visually stimulating... not an empty cold warehouse with broken equipment and filthy dirty people roaming around. what does it take to get cleaned up for such an affair? not a whole helluva alot. Cmon people

Have some class for gods sake High Times

Snow White,
Willie Wortels is almost worth the trip in itself :)
Excellent report (came upon it late)

Nol is treated like a god by the people who attend the cup BUT for HT, Haarlem is just too far for the fat and lazy amerikans!

2007 with the influence of myspace was sooo much worse!

Time for the Dutch to take over the cup, an idea 1st floated by Nol 3-4 years ago!

Peace

I don't find this to be true at all I have lived in the Uk both in England and Holland and I was always very well treated especially since most Americans agree Bush is an asshole :)

Yeah the High Times Cannabis Cup's a scam.It generates revenue through 420 Travel( flights, shitty hotel bookings, etc.) This money is straight profitas the advertising costs are eaten by the mag. I went once,(2000) and was fortunate enough to arrive a couple of days early.I got talking to people in Amsterdam who told me about the HT cup.Because of this I didn't even bother with the cup.We spent our time exploring, visiting museums(fantastic!!) and getting baked on good hash. I would love to go back, but not in Nov.

Wow, five misspelled words in a 15 word sentence. That's 75% correct, if you ignore the fact that nothing is capitalized and there's no punctuation. Then, of course, there's the total irrelevance of your statement to the post, and the fact that you obviously didn't take the time to do a google search, wherein you would have found in the second link that comes up that Bush (not "buch") has a 28% approval rating in our country. Nice job! You sure told us! :dunce:
