Man that is great. I can't believe what used to pass for top quality back in the day.

That looks like ditch weed to me lol

Thanks for sharing!

I saw this on another thread. No arguements here that in general the bud today is cleaner and also very good. However, I'd put Thai Stick, Colombian Gold, and Panama Red up against anything out there today.....if you don't have the experience it's hard to compare :)

Just wait, all the old schoolers are going to show up and say in a pissy old man voice, "That shit was better than what you're smoking on now. Can't judge potency by looks."

Thats when dank was still used to describe a cellar or sweaty pubic areas. I liked Colombian lids though.

im a long time stoner from that period and i would put any of my strains against any of those any day. no comparison to what we have now.

Those are all pure sativa and have been compressed, untrimmed and stored in what ever way. A pure sativa grown today will look a lot like those, leafy, minus the seeds and overly dried look.

I had 'skunk' back in '79 and it was like anything found in a dispensary today. Trimmed, hard nugs and really fresh. Had not been stored or smuggled, local here in cali.
