Why do you want to repress? There is normally no need for it if done well the first time. The storage is similar to what is done with flowers, remember only to have a container hardly bigger than the hashish to have a minimum of oxygen in.

I meant re: hand pressing as if to say "on the subject of hand pressing? not repressing :) The main thing I've noticed is that the smell of the pressed piece is strong when it was hot water bottle pressed but when I hand press [I press vigorously for 25 to 30 mins ] and store in a ball there is much less aroma when opening the jar.

My first attempt at frenchy hash looks great but is very harsh and barely melts. I posted pics a few pages back. At the cup I explained my process to Frenchy. He told me what I did wrong. Then explained his whole process to me and then told me what not to do. Then he handed me a loop to see the trichomes on his hash then let me smoke on some.. I just gave him 2 thumbs up with hand gestures. That hash hit me pretty good.. Then when I regained my composure I told him how tasty it was..

My next hash run should be much much better quality. Now that I know better.

That is because you have more heat and more pressing power with the hot water bottle, it is not in the opening of the jar but in the breaking of the ball of hash. A cannoli will release more smell than a ball.
It is an art to hand press to perfection and I ask you guys to experience with it just so you can experience the pressing process with all your senses before judging only with your eyes.

The first couple runs I ever did were that way... I watched the youtubes frenchy did so many times and slowly I started to get the process down, which I have no way even close to having a grasp on. This trichome stuff is deep! Frenchy is an artist and a great teacher...much respect!

One observation on hand pressing, as I press the piece and generate heat by my hands and friction the resin mass changes texture quite a bit and eventually seems to melt into itself.After this point the aroma is VERY strong and my palms get extremely sticky.
First couple of times I was sure some weight had been lost with the process but the weight of the finished piece was exactly what the loose resin weighed.

made sure hands were very dry and warm before starting

Frenchy have you ever after your are done then dry it with BHO tech? i think your system is the best ive seen, then i see BHO where they use heat and pressure to expand all remaining resign glands to release the moisture. I think it would be insane strong. Frenchy could you check it out. this is a long version but shows it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNTwkfagkEE just wont to know what the expert thinks.

Frenchy you inspire me. I can feel your passion thru the video ive watched 3 times not 1 but all of them. You take pride in your work and that my friend is why i respect and honor you my brother. Its not very often on my journey of life i find passion. Your passion is huge and vigorous. I will try my best to meet you. I think i need to watch videos again to sink it all in. Thank you brother you inspire me and remind me about passion which ive buried deep inside.

The videos are good enough to show you the basic steps but are far from being a teaching tool. TC will film my Workshop (The Lost Art of the Hashishin) in details which should be better but not quite like a live workshop where I can give you a serious foundation to build your experience on.
