Those hashes are taking me right back to the good ol' days when it was common to find them in the UK, before soap bar ruined everything. I had to wipe away a little drool from the side of my mouth looking at the pictures.

I know, bad Frenchy, but that was the whole point, to have you all drool

I got a visit from my friend at Boltdbags, I was expecting to see Stephanie but it was Harry the owner, not as cute but super nice. Santa Claus nice, he brought me 3 machines for my work
Super nice, check it up

As you can see, those machine were made for hashishin but not by hashishin. The side exhaust pipe is made to collect our precious trichomes and a lot of gunk, very unhealthy after a while.
I will put a tap this time instead of using a tube that I bring up and down. It should be simpler to just open your tap to empty your machine.
Harry will for sure adapt his machine to our need and he is planning to build me a 20 gallons to my spec.
It is so cool to work in those conditions

Same here, god that's what i'm calling top quality hash, all of them seem so different yet so good! It's amazing to see how hash really comes down to that wine tasting comparison we made, all that knowledge goes far beyond putting raisin in good soil fermenting it and calling it art - i'm french give me the right to shit on my own culture, cheese is much more delicate as an art.
I truly believe that given the complexity of genetics and the different process, the cannabis plant is much deeper than raisin. As far as taste and "benefit".

One question: you've showed us some dried sieved afghani and paki, how is it that those are far more malleable than morrocan? - that first blond just look like the one i was smoking a couple of weeks ago. I've pressed it and damn, this is when i understood the pressing wasnt just a show off move! Never thought i could/should do that. At first i was thinking "why am i ruining that hash" and after 10min or so i started understanding.
Is it only the genetic/climat or do their sieving technique differ from morrocan.

Thanks a lot for those trully amazing pictures, cant wait to be back in amsterdam smoking some of that good stuff, nothing can compare to those hash really!

Morocco became a producing country in the 60, they do not have the traditions that you find in the Hindu kush, the masters are the Afghanis but I have never seen what they do on the other side of the Hindu Kush, all the new muslims countries that broke up from Russia have all traditions going all the way to the beginning of sieving. All the light hash that I have shown is what we called export press, it hold together but is not press for smoking or storing. The locals would press it again before smoking. The genetics on the other makes a huge difference, cannabis was born at the feet of the Himalayas and the Hindu Kush.
The game is changing with people bringing genetics left and right, sometimes even feminized. No real major damage in Morocco but in any other producing countries with landraces genetics it is a crime against humanity, once you muddy the pool there is no going back

Hey Frenchie,

Lets meet up at or around the 710 cup and let our hash pipes do the talking :) I'm a hands on learner if you will :)

Are you staying in Denver?

And seeing that you are very well traveled, what do you think about pressed opium? It's been over a decade since ive seen it, but have always been very curious.

You do not need to press opium to smoke it, you need to clean it that it becomes smokable. The art is to stick that little ball on the bowl. My first experience in Bombay, an opium den and one of the last.

I only got opium for one short period of time. It was a fun couple weeks, I enjoyed putting a little ball/disc on top of a bowl of weed made for a very relaxing evening. No ones ever offered any again since, but I'm in the wrong part of the country to find exotic stuff like that (not that I'm trying persay) :).

The technique is basically the same, sieving, the water add a very tricky element to the drying process and that is all. I do not think that the ice water hash is better than the dry sieve even if the water seems to bring back some terpenes.
I have done some dry sieve in Morocco and with some Afghani kief in India that were pure cream. The quality if not equal must be very close on the other hand the quantity will show a serious difference.
I learned the ice water sieving process by applying my knowledge of traditional sieving, which is the reason why the way I process is totally different.
Making worms and any type of pressing would help, the resin as a mass is more "resistant" to the "outside world"
Two People I know can make FMCD sifted resin glands, Will Foster and Don of DNA I am sure there are many I don't know. This desire to smoke only Resin not any fiber was my goal when switching to water hash I have like you made much dry hash as well.
I guess I need to really spend some serious time looking for the perfect screen for the size trichomes I am shifting.
I have had many kief makers and certainly some produced better results my fav was a stainless steel mesh that was a very specific size for extracting the Space Queen large heads and it was FMCD and a shade of red right off the plant ( early finishing we always let go long)

The size of the trichomes is so different from strain to strain that you need to be able to adapt to it. Boltdbags is making me a sieving machine kit where I will be able to do just that. Do not ask me when, cross your finger that it happens soon.

Sub - you should check out the bubbleman 'tumble now' It starts with a 120u cylinder then refines on a 73u screen. If you do a 30 second tumble on fresh colas you will get small yields of holy grail heads.

If you want to clean your bubble, get one of those digital microscopes and a syringe and remove all of those fibers or busted heads/stalks. It takes forever to do it and probably isn't even worth it,, but you can sure score some fucking heady points
