damn @frenchy ,ooh la la, I didn't know you were on here! what a pleasant surprise. I respect you so much and im very stoked to be able to THanK U, here, for all the instruction and education you have given to me!!
My last hash run I followed your u tube video to make my bubble hash. I bought the same lil washing machine you have, we sawed out the bottoms of 2 buckets and everything to try to do exactly what you do.
For the pressing part, I failed hopelessly. I just couldn't get my water hot enough in my Nalgene bottles to press my hash like you. Is there any other alternative way to heat and press the hash besides hot water in a bottle?

a friend in Co, today told me he bought ipower bags on amazon. Got 8 bags for less than $40. He said they worked great. Same quality as bubble bag brand. Has double stiching. No bleeding. Got same amount hash and same quality as he did borrowing a friends bubble bags. all the reviews online are mixed. More good than negative though. It almost sounds too good to be true. A set of 8 bags for $40. I'm in Cali. So I can't just roll over there and check them out. I'm in th market for new bags. I've been waiting for the essential extract bags to be back in stock. I almost bought bubble bags again. Just my current bubble bags are 10 years old and I only have a 4 bag set... I know there's boldtbags and mila's too. I think $500 is far over priced for bags.. Bubble bags and essential extracts are $160 for 8 bags. My current bags have lasted 10 years. And still going. Its cheaper to buy an 8 bag set rather than just the bags I'm missing. Any thoughts..

Bubbleman says his bags have a lifetime guarantee if you bought his originals. Get in touch with him, you may get your bags replaced for just the shipping cost alone.

The best way to learn pressing is to do it a few times by hand. It is hard work and you will get blister but you will be able to feel, smell and see the transformation.
Press for 15 minutes a few grammes in your hands, keep your hand warm and work in a warm environment.
Hyroot cheap bags are nice but remember that you are buying a tool to do precise work not just bags. If you want cheap, women stocking work really good.

I bought em few months back, have em waiting to be used haven't gotten to it. Only have about an oz of trim maybe even less didn't know if that was enough to use to get a good feeling of how the bags work. I've never made bubble before.

got the 8 bag 5 gal set.

edit*25g's of bone dry trim if it's enough I'll start making ice today and give em a run later this week or early next.

I think the 5-gal set is kinda big for only an ounce of trim but I'm not a big hash maker (yet...) but I've made a little here and there with the 4 bag set of 1 gallon bubble bags (the cheapo no namers to be exact) 1-2 ounces of trim is the perfect amount for the 1 gallon bags... I would honestly wait until you get 4-8 zips of trim before dirty-ing up those nice new bags... But then again, as long as you dont mind cleaning them, practice makes perfect, and practice is best when lesser amounts of something so valuable isnt being wasted.

Watch subs youtube video thats several years old at this point; where he uses the 1 gallon bags in his kitchen sink, just to get a good base idea of how things work... I bought those cheapo bags a couple years ago and havent made any hash with them in a few years because I made a hole in the work bag like a dummy using a taping compound mixer that was made out of plastic on a cordless drill.... It worked really well the the first time, but it popped a hole the second time....

Mainly I've been working on making RSO (Rick Simposon Oil) more than anything else, Which I've spent quite a few bucks on an induction cooker and appropriate tool-age and quite a bit of time making a vent hood to do it without blowing my house up/catching it on fire (and not get drunk whilst making it... WHOOOO do you get ripped off of some boiling grain fumes).... but I have not mastered the oil making yet... but the more I browse our man frenchy's thread, I wanna get back into hash/bubble but I refuse to do so until I have a new set of quality bags, and most importantly..... some more knowledge...

One item to have lots of on hand is alcohol, the higher the % the better to clean your bags and anything else that gets all sticky-iky from the work being done... I would literally have at least 3-4 of the bigges bottles of the highest % of isopropyl alcohol, or buy a bottle of grain alcohol which is what I have been using to make my RSO, but it also works well to remove any sticky stuff...

Thanks for the tips. I was planning on waiting till I had 4 oz. of trim. I figured the bags would be a little large for my small scale. But they didn't offer the one gallons in an 8 bag set. I figured I'd want the 8 bag to see the difference between the grades.

It's going to take me a while to get that much trim :) Will be worth the wait I'm sure, and just more time to study the process :)

I emailed bubblebags about replacing mine. My old.ones are still good for the most part. The 25u does leak through the stitching though. I asked if there are any discounts for replacement bags for.the other microns for long time customers. We'll see.

If I could afford a Vegas trip. I would go right now to the champs trade show and get boldt bags for cost. Which should be around 50% of retail price.

I wish I could attend the Champs in Vegas as well Hyroot.
Small quantity are fine Mr Head, it is actually better especially when you do manual (as opposed to using a machine) and when you are learning as well.
I made run in a machine with hardly a handful of trims, if you are afraid of cleaning those bags you should right now forget about making Hash because quality is dependent on cleanliness. You just have to read the definition of the word sieve to understand that cleanliness is mandatory.
Do not work your trims in a bag and you will avoid destroying it, simply have your trims swim in a food grade plastic bucket and NEVER EVER use a drill or power tools with sharp metallic parts, wood is the best.

i have some cannatonic and sour tsunami x querkle going into flower in about a month. I planned on making medicated ice cream with it. I may try and make some cbd hash too. I have a few patients that don't smoke. so they need the edibles.

Good Day Hashishins!

Ole dabs is almost recovered from the 2nd hip replacement, I picked up the damn tobacco cigarettes again after healing from the first and have determined that smoking tobacco will delay healing time quite substantially, like 4x the standard, plus the procedures being only 3 months apart...

No more cigarettes!!

Anyways, I felt well enough to get to bubbling...

Material: 200 ish grams of Northern Lights #5(trim & larf)

Manual Agitation: 2 ten minute washes

Yield:< 5% at 6 ish grams of 73µ

Quite befuddled on the low yield, but ehhh, it happens.

More pics, less blabber. :)

And some hash that was pressed and cured for over 6 weeks,(Egg shaped pic pages back)

I went to crack it open, the outer shell was very hard, bit once broken open it literally crumbled into a *very* soft/chalk like hash, that melts like oil.

Happy Hashing Rollers!

Thank you brotha!! It has been one rough 5weeks, damn..

Tobacco should be illegal seriously, poison, and I MUST drop them again, I quit completely during the first recovery and was healed up in 3weeks, it's been over 5 weeks, and the pain is still quite substantial.

Really appreciate your posts CoAch, thank you :)
thanks SDA I needed that^^^
ive been missing your pics

Much respect,
dabs.

We are in the same boat on the cigarette Sirdab, bloody hard to quit after over 40 years and I smoke only spliff not even cigarette by itself.
Happy to know that you are feeling good enough to work on your Hashishin skills
Indeed it is Frenchy, I've been able to drop several bad addictive substances with no problem , but the cigarettes...

Hardest thing ever!!

As always, your words are very appreciated my friend.

Any news on lab test on the hash ball 12 week analysis? This is something I'm very interested in, please keep me updated if you would be so kind.
