Again I apologize, if I have done something wrong. I am about to start my first grow, it'll be with with one plant - a test one, and if it's successful, that will be my mother. So.. I want to ask You how many lamp like the mentioned below will I need for a one plant grow. I am asking only for the vegetation period, because I have to use light with a lower K's for the flowering, don't I?

CFL 20w 6500K (that was all the information on the box)

Thank You!

Right after germination, that one will get you started, but you'll do better adding 2 to three more for much much better results

Agreed. I used 4 26watt 6500k CFLS with 3 y splitters to hang all four bulbs right over her after her 2nd week, and she looooved it.
Make sure you keep them fairly close...I kept mine within 3-4 inches constantly - no leaf burn or nothing.

and yes, once you go into flowering, you need to get the 2700k color bulb - and a lot of them. I currently have 342 watts (7x42w, 2x26w) and she looks very nice and happy.

At the time I did that, it was just the one.

She was obtained as a clone though, with roots already showing. I count week 1 starting from the time of transplant.

As for flowering, I've seen as many as 6-8 flowered with the wattage I am running. Hell, Dr.Budgreengenes runs a cab full of single cola plants that he flowers at 3-5", topping out at about 20" at harvest under less wattage than I had. I think he had 9 rows of 3 plants under some 275 watts at the time? He built a new cab, two actually. where he supposedly runs 72 clones under 500 watts each.

It will really depend on you, and how your want to do your grow. If you want to do just a one plant grow, you can follow my lead and surround the plant with 350watts or more. I'd say the more the better really.

I was surfing.. and I'm thinking with going for one of 55w/6400K/3100lm/ at the begining. See I'm really broke right now, so I'm going to built the number of lights up with the growth. hope it works
