the first grow, trying to do it right

Any harshness will be down to curing not nutes. Plants turn nutrients into useable food and won't be something you can tast directly.
Molasses will help all the way through and I do believe it helped me create the fat buds on my last grow.
So many people over do things when growing thinking that more is better. Simplicity is the key, do you think nature provides them with all the stuff that we add?
Good luck DT, will be watching :)

Hey DT been following the grow and it looks really good. Can't wait to see the final product! Starting on my second grow now (my first one turned hermi on me) hope I can use some of what I read hear to help with the nute thing as I'm not really sure on how all that works. But anywho, Nicely done! Subscribed and will be checking in to see the frosty nugs!

Hit it on the head with that one but the molasses throughout is a question mark in my book but not something an experiment couldn't solve, might do it my next grow being that I don't nute. I'll try that, try out azomite in your next grow. DTS We all are in your corner I thought you'd be close to harvest by now, three weeks is plenty of time to flush and get those nutes somewhat out of your soil. I got about three weeks left with my indicas and probably 5 with my hybrid good luck bro:bigjoint:

I use molasses through-out only on auto flowering plants, but with regular seeds, I use molasses when they flower.

And in flowering I assume you use it in the fashion I descried(2-3 final weeks) or throughout the entire flowering period. Another ques why choose auto's what are your advantages over regular seeds besides height I guess. A little novice in that realm.

sorry dtown, we seem to be highjacking your thread!
I use molasses when I start to see flowers right up to harvest, it helps them take up other nutrients as well as providing them with a little extra micro nutes.
I've grown autos because - a: I only have a small space. b: They are quick, damn quick 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest c: Auto AK47 is a lovely smoke (for me) d: I work from home, my grow room is in my office. The sooner I can shut the damn fans off the better!

Your're right about hijacking the thread much respect dts. Reiss we'll continue this in your thread. DTS if anything we posted helps I'll be glad, since your're close to harvest now did you take any clones from this one and if not do you plan on starting another grow soon dts?

haha you guys can use this for thread if you want, its all good :peace:

You can't clone autos because the clones will bud at the same time as the mother. I personally chose auto's because I have a limited grow space, and I needed to quickly make a first harvest (because Im like out of weed)
Next round Im going to do 3 or 4 auto's mixed with 2 or 3 of a regular strain. Im gunna have all of them start in 20/4, then around week 7-8 im going to switch to 12/12. I want to see if this late switch affects bud sizes on autos (because, as I've heard, buds grow during the night cycle). I'll end up with early harvest, then some MASSIVE bushes another 12-14 weeks later :bigjoint::bigjoint::bigjoint:

again, go ahead and hijack this shit! I'm prolly going to post a summary after I've cured, so it doesnt matter at all.

thanks for the support guys!

DTS I like your style we should blaze if you ever make it to a cannabis cup, I feel the same way about threads especially when someones helpfull but people are so sensitive now precautions are a must. If you do start another thread I'm on it from day one. Thanks to you and reiss probably throw an auto in there too. Check out my grow bout 3 weeks left

looking amazing dtown. i am so happy for your autoflower grow, i hope i yields great for you. good luck on your cutting and curing. A lot of fun coming up for you!

So I took down these four plants (these photos correspond to the order of the attachments):

(this plant is the first 2 attached pics)

Took me about 5 hours to trim these 4. By the end I was getting too lazy to take good pics lol thats why I have the pic of just the pile for the last plant.

I would like to have somewhere completely dark to dry the plants, but I dont have anywhere thats smell proofed (yet) besides the tent. I'm going to build a drying box and attach it to the tent via some ducting for my next round. It doesnt' really matter though, because I shut off the light today in order to let the other plants have 48 hrs of darkness before I chop them too

Thank you all for your support. This has been a modestly successful first run, I'm looking forward to the 2nd. I will be posting the weight in 5 or 6 days, I'm going to let them cure a little first.

Here is the final outcome:

If I had to guess, I would say about 1/4 LB total. It would have been more, but I fear I over-dried the buds. They are a little crispy. 2 of the plants I dried less, so they may be okay. Who knows though, thats why I tried 2 different amounts of dry. In any case, I think this will be enough to last me to next harvest :bigjoint:

I just weighed one of the large jars, it as 25 grams. So maybe closer to 6-7 oz here?
Again, i'll get a more exact figure in a couple days. I might add some lettuce to the jars to put some moisture back in, but I'm not sure if I want to
