yeah , my thinkin , it's nice to have options as apply : frosty genes & UVB maybe push the envelope slightly

how many watts do the reptile bulbs draw ?
There's a few options with UVB bulbs. You can utilize elongated T5 bulbs, such as the ones captainmorgan shared, or CFL bulbs. I haven't used the T5 before but rather the 13W UVB CFL bulbs from Reptisun:

They make 26W CFL UVB bulbs as well. I'd like to think that the elongated T5 bulbs would better serve at spread distribution but may lack the proper intensity necessary to make a difference at given distances. Again, I haven't played around with the UVB T5 bulbs but the CFL bulbs definitely made a difference during my trial. If I go digging, I may be able to come across some journal notes about how they fared.

I use the t5 ho 54w arcadia reptile. It's 48" long and fits my space nicely.
I had it attached to the bottom of my cob bar and I think it worked fine. I recently raised up my cob bar and I think the uvb bulb is too far from the canopy so I'm trying to rig an alternative set-up.

The former member kitehigh has a lot of info posted on RIU about his experiments and conclusions on UVB supplementation.

I've used a single 22" T5 HO Reptisun 10.0 that draws 24 watts for a 3x3 tent and run it for 5 hours in the middle of the light cycle.
captain do you place the t5 in the center of the 3x3 or move it around? Also what height have you found to give the best outcomes?

Yeah, I will have to look into that.....I had bought from RapidLEd before Cutter started showing up, Good deal!

I use really cheap, 350ma 12v Ebay specials, get em for a buck, 10x at a time :) Anything works, I believe they will handle 1000mA or in the neighborhood :peace:

imho Spread max exposure over surface area for 730nm, but always open to debate :)

another thing I noticed about uvb. Since the trichomes matured faster. They didn't grow as large as they normally do. So the heads were smaller. I got more 45u than the 73u in my hash this round.
