Day 78 of flowering (weekly) update
Not much since yesterday! I clipped and manicured some more buds from both the cbd critical cure (pics 1-2; check out the foxtailing on the cbds buds) and seedsmans blueberry (pics 3-4) .... it doesnt looks like I made a dent in the canopy lmfao (last pic) .... man i got a long way to go and a lot more colas to clip .... anyone wants to help clip and trim? Will have some music goin, plenty of Js (bong bowls) to go around and will order pizza .... ill even through an oz or 2 of the critical cure lol ... btw that plant has a pungent fuelish/motor-oil/lemon smell .... i cant describe it really but it is just a very very strong smell. Its familiar but cant figure out what it is that i smell in the mix. And the best I can say is fuelish/motor-oil like and lemon and very pungent ... maybe after curing itll be more refined. Will see .... the blueberry on the other hand is sweet and smells of Ripe (maybe over ripe) blueberries
All the blueberries buds I clipped showed no active infestation.....i cleaned up lots of fan leaves from the bb and those too had no active infestation. There was an infestation but its no where bear the buds. It was only on fan leaves....

Nonetheless WE HAD A DAMN SPIDER MITES INFESTATION AND WE TOOK CARE OF IT

Til next update, happy growin yall

I did some more clipping today. I clipped another branch of the amnesia lemon and certainly does look like it tried to reveg or something. The buds are small and airy with swollen calixes a few of them are growing weird like extending out a little on a short stem.
The Trainwreck buds on the other hand, are compact but dense and covered in trichs. Not very leafy and the sugar leaves arent as frosty but the buds are. I am not sure if this bud size is just the genetics of this plant or if its due to the same issue that caused the cbd critical cure to hermie and the amnesia lemon to do whatever the heck she did lol

The buds in the pics are of the trainwreck :-)
First under skirt shot is of the blueberry and the second is of the cbd. Just seeing this and how nuts those two plants are growin above the screen, i must think twice before scrogging more than 2 unknown plants in that 4x4' tent and in those modified waterfarms. The tent cant handle this kind of growth. The blueberry and the critical cure are plenty enough for this tent lol
Til next update, happy growin yall :-)

Weekly update:
Not much to report I am still harvesting and trimming. A couple of days ago I jarred the first batch of buds and it was the blueberry... more is drying. Tomorrow the critical cure will go in ... they should be ready by then (at least most of it).
Lots of work and not enough time
I clocked my timer and found out it was busted .... this explains the hermied CC and everything else.
To make up for this screw up, i will be running 2 strains right after I'm done harvesting and cleaning out the tent.
One of the 2 strains will be barneys farm pineapple chunk. The second is between dutch passions durban poison, G13 Labs pineapple express #2 (improved pineapple express) and barneys farm tangerine dream. Time will tell what itll be hah. Oh and I will be getting my hands dirty and trying out organic soil for this run ;-)
Happy growing, merry christmas and happy holidays yall

Wow! You packed that tent :)

What would you different if you had to do it again?

How's the yield so far?
If i had more time to tend to them and catch issues quickly and able to rectify them fast, i could have handled the 4 different strains in that tent. I would just flip a lot sooner to 12/12. Then, if needed, defoliate more as the branches grow to allow more light and more room for the buds to fatten up!

With my limited time with the girls and when scrogging 4 different and unknown strains, Id have flip at 50% full screen (which is pretty much as soon as the 4 girls hit the screen and plan to work the branches in the screen during the 1-4 weeks stretch (strain dependant that is .. I had a liberty haze stretch for 4 weeks after flip hah) ... i would have also scrogged 3 unknown strains MAX.
The yueld oh the yield haha ... i still have to finish chopping the rest. It is a lot of work. I jarred 2 big ones of the blueberry and 1.5 of the critical cure and srill got 2 trays of the critical cure drying and a lot more of the blueberry to clip ... to be honest and with what the busted timer did to my girls, the yield will be crappy in quantity ... HOWEVER the kind and amount of STRESS they got (which made the critical cure hermie and the amnesia lemon go into senescence and the trainwreck finish fast), made the buds, although a bit airy in general, potent as hell ..... i sampled them all ... damn trainwreck got me disoriented for awhile yesterday lmao

Alright alright .... did some more chopping and trimming and let me tell ya this critical cure plant is heavy yielding and would be great for commercial runs or for runs to produce lots of oil for many patients etc. Despite everything that happened, shes still shooting out new white pistils and the lower buds are fat and still getting fatter ... some of them are the size of a large egg ... larger lower buds than I have ever seen in all the plants I grew!

The poor amnesia lemon, on the other hand, has very small and airy buds (see first pics) that show signs of attempted reveg! On a more positive note, trimming those branches was a treat! The fresh sweet zesty smell made me totally disregard her yield and overall bud-apeal (or lack of).
A shot of jarred frosty blueberry buds then a shot of some jarred critical cure buds :-)

Til next final yield and smoke report update, happy growing yall ... oh and make sure you check out my upcoming organic soil run ;-)

You have a good sense of humor that comes out in your posts... I had to laugh a few times :)

Yea, managing different strains in rough. It's exciting though.. The nugs in the bowl look excellent!

I grew critical cure. It's a weird plant. I believe it's actually sativa with high cbd so probably crossed with big bud or something.. I found it to be a big yielder also. I thought the bud was strange though.. To be honest i couldn't give that stuff away.. I was like "Hey, you want a free quarter of this CBD?" my friends were like "ummmm, no I'm good" :) It's odd. Very oily, kind of piney/terpentinish and the buds dried a very dark brown. I got CC when it first came out though so it may be better now.

I think that out of the 10 or so strains I've grown that Super Skunk ws my favorite. Nice smell (fruity/skunky), good buzz, good yield, and finishes really fast.

Ya call that sense of humor i call it weird and nerdy hahha but yoir interpretation works for me too hahah
Thanks
Exactly why i wanted to run the 4 different strains ...... for the challenge. My last run was scrogging 3 and it went very very well with 3/4 of a kilo in that 4x4 ... i thought id hit the kilo mark this time around hahah
The next challenge is an organic soil run (eyebrows wiggle lol)
So i honestly was hoping to get some seeds from these plants. Thought it would be interesting to see how this cbd crosses with the 4 others. Weird enough i havent seen a single seed in all the buds i sampled (and i did "sample" a lot lol) ... will have to wait and see .... also hoping the critical cure stank gets better lol btw i gag when i smoke it ... its tooooooo dang strong of taste and smell. ..... cant discribe it hah .... any thoughts on its smell and taste when ya firat harvested the cc vs after curing? Someone mentioned to ne he grew a critical jack tgat was nasty at first....just liie mine ... but after curing, it got much better and the lemon scent and taste came out!

Hello Doctor. I loved the journal, good explanations and limiting the updates to once a week. It was a fairly quick read, even with all the info. I'm looking forward to the organic soil grow. I'm actually just starting my own right now so I'll be watching in on that for sure. Keep up the good work:clap:. Those frosty nugs look amazing.

I finally recall the smell and taste of the CC.. I remember it being like maple syrup.. gross.
I also grew Blue Shark CBD. Nice plant. I don't recall the smell or taste tough..
Even some dispensary CBD weed I had tasted a bit odd.

Hey hey hey
This is long overdue but I finally got to it!
Heres the l final weight with a break down for each strain:

Total weight: 678g
Barney's farm critical cure: 262g (1st pic)
Seedsman Blueberry: 314g (2nd pic)
Green House Trainwreck: 49g (3rd pic)
Barney's Farm Amnesia Lemon: 53g (4th pic).

This is not bad given the spider mite infestation and the busted timer which lead to a hermied CC (also trainwreck hermied btw) and a revegged amnesia lemon (as well as the CC). Most of the amnesia lemon (bottom 2/3s) went in the compost bin due to worse mites infestation in those fluffy buds.
Those very issues that affected the final yield also affected the physical structure of the buds (Most CC and amnesia buds are airy fluffy and they both showed signs of reveg (worse on the bottom 2/3)). These issues on the other hand, I believe, made up for it in the potency of the smoke (smoke report to follow).
Despite the bananas all iver the CC buds, I still havent seen a single seed in any if the buds I smoked and there were a lot that I smoked hah
Overall, this run certainly challeneged me towards the end and that challenge definitely contributed to my learnin and growing skills!
Til the smoke report, happy growin yall :-)
