The Cube

Hey. I've been browsing a bit looking to see if what I constructed is adequate.
I am new to growing... and have constructed this 4ftx4ftx5ft (LxWxH) cube.
I'm using six 4ft 5000k 40w t12 fluorescent tubes with 3050 lumens each, for a total of 240w and 18'300 lumens.
Is this going to be enough for 3 plants from seed to harvest? Will I have to flower like 12 days after veg?
As long as I get 10, 20, or even 50g out the whole thing then I'll be happy and spring for an HID or HPS, but this is a test to see how the whole process works.
What do you think?

You could grow the plants in the veg stage but you would need to find 2400k < "or around that" bulbs to flower the plants. you could get some bud but don't put your expectation to high.

Florescent lights have weak penetration so only the top 1-1.5 ft of the plant would receive enough light. If you are going to use this as an experiment i say go for it. You may want to go with 2 plants and lst them to get shorter wider plants that can make the limited light penetration more optimal. This will give you lst experience too.

T5's would have been a better way to go but this is an experiment so best of luck.
