i just wanted everything to be right on this grow...least as it comes to setup.im also thinking of building a small stand alone ac for it....have the feeling heat is going to be an issue again..least when i start putting all the lights in there.also might do some frozen water bottles in the res...long as i keep them roots cool...90f temps shouldnt hurt me too much.but i just checked my tracking info...my stuff is in tampa...so it should be here tomorrow...if that happens then im gonna start a test run...ive got that one 3 week old plant in the shot glass...im going to try and rinse all the roots off and see how it takes the the dwc...ill ahve the room anyways...going to have 2 open spots i was gonna save for clones...might as well use them best i can..and it will be a good tryout plant for it.....im also going 12/12 from seed with the next grow...should speed things up a bit..but not losing the yield since im growing dwc this time...if only i was in a house and not a condo...then i would have my old nft system and not worry about learning all this new stuff

I just decided to pop two random seeds I had and try to squeeze in the party cup grow again lol.. I'm way behind but it will be a challenge i guess.. Plus they don't take up much room and it will just be a little extra

...coming along I am rather impressed with your little DWC container, I've been considering a DWC experiment for personal. Due to the reason why I grow most of what I grow I try to keep it as natural and clean as possible. Several of the folks that my herb goes to have medical marijuana licenses for one main reason, they were taking so many chemicals that were all replaced by cannabis. And therefore I espeically have no desire to put any chemicals in their replacement therapy. But I've been hearing from folks about organic hydroponic nutrient solutions... will you be going chem organic or combo of both for your dwc?
(P.s. just caught the part a few days ago about mercury poisioning and it sounding like what your looking for good quip, if I ever breed a sativa/indica hybrid that exemplify's those characteristics at optimal harvest I gotta name it mercury now...)

placing an order soon for some flora grow/bloom.thought about using earth juice...but i saw that most of their line is being pulled off the self..but first im doing a trial run..im using only jacks classic grow/bloom...i want to see what this stuff really does in a hydro setup

just got my net pots,hydroton,and rockwool in the mail...but i didnt sleep last night...been awake for over a day...and about to smoke a blunt of some new shit i got this morning....so not sure if mentally ill be able to finish the dwc tonight...and these are smaller than i thought...i can fit 6 in there no problem..but that might be too many roots for a 3 gallon tub.i might only put 3 in there....anyone with dwc grows under their belt...feel free to chime in.

it seems that blunt motivated my zombie ass...and i think i got the dwc completely done....made my holes for the net pots...rinsed the hydroton out with a ton of water and its now in some ph'ed water for 24 hours...im still yet to do anything with the other plants tonight..so ima make this short....here is some pics.ive got it filled with 2 1/2 gallons of water that im going to also let sit for 24 hours...then ill get the ph right....the water level is just high enough that its getting a good mist to the net pots from the bubbles..and the shot glass plant will be in the new system this time tomorrow

Lookin sick!! So the roots sit right above the water on this setup? Or are they submerged? I'm a little confused as to how that works exactly..

at first they are above the water...after the roots come out of your rockwool or peat pellet..place them into the pots.the water that splashes up takes care of most of the watering...then within a matter of days...your roots will be growing into the water....from that point ive heard its good to keep 2" of space between the nets and the top of the water...leaves a pocket for more air to get in

post #900 and first pic of a plant in the new dwc system.....took the shot glass plant and rinsed the soil off then placed it in some hydroton.this will give me a good little practice plant...long as i didnt damage the roots during transplant.had a good amount of roots for it being in such a small container...if it lives the roots will be in the water in a matter of days i bet.also will be making a whole new thread for the dwc grow....ill start it with the plant i have in it now...then ill continue it with the next 3 seeds i start.ill drop a link in here for it...then ill probably drop this thread...seeing as i have harvested the plants in its title

more then likely on the next res change i will be giving it nutes....hydro grows dont have the nutes in it like soil does...it needs food pretty fast...with roots growing as fast as they do and with all the oxygen its getting..the plant needs food pretty soon into its growth....least thats my take on it from all the info ive went over... thats how im gonna try it out on the first run

lights just came on so i gave them all a look...the one in the dwc is still alive...has a lil droop to it,but im sure thats normal for a newly transplanted seedling....gave the 2 party cup girls a full dose of jacks bloom and AN's big bud...they are still growing like champs..nothing new other than that...ill drop the link to my new dwc journal after i get it done in here
