I went ahead and bought a 480w Meijiu but I don't know how to mount the driver? I saw one video and was like, oh cool you just zip tie it down through the holes... but there are only two large holes which presumably the pos/neg wires run through but this leaves the driver offset to one side of the board with no other holes or anything.
Does anyone know what to do?

I remote mounted mine outside of the tent. I just used a length of lamp cord to connect the driver leads to the +/- wires on the fixture. I used a zip tie to secure the cord to the fixture as a strain relief(if needed). The panel will run @ 50 degC and the driver just adds more heat to the tent. That's why I put mine outside.

Thank you for chiming in. I've been going back through this thread today and that definitely seems to be the general consensus. Now that I've come to the conclusion of going with 3000K Samsungs I need to decide whether to go with Kingbrite again or to try out Meijiu which seems to be pretty popular on this thread. Apparently the Meijiu kits come with thicker heat sinks which sounds pretty nice. At any rate I'm excited to start up an LED grow journal soon. Great thread.

Thanks for the reply - I'm thinking I just hang it in the air next to the carbon filter in the space above the board (i'll also have clip fan up there) . Is it safe to hang in any particular way? ie upside down, vertical, etc.
How should I attach it to the tent poles? Suspended with hangers to keep it from the tent wall? (zip tie? the driver only has a single narrow/small oval shaped hole on either end) I've seen people that have an entire netting setup in the ceiling of their tent, maybe this is worth doing?

Well in answer to my own questions above and anyone curious - I've got the driver outside the tent on a stable platform adjacent to the top side tent hole. I've run it at the lowest setting for an hour and the temperature has risen 1c, driver and board cool to touch. Putting it on full now and testing for another couple of hours.

Well, update on my kingbrite experience so far, it's been good. But I'm hoping they pull through on this order sooner than later. They gave me lm301h for a free upgrade as they were out of lm301b. I'm guessing this thread and a few other places has convinced the general market. I couldn't imagine they sold out of lm301b and Alibaba did those kinds of numbers because they weren't in stock from one of the biggest LED sellers. So good job peeps, you extended my wait time LOL. You greedy bastards. 
But now I get lm301h upgrades for free, and without them having been shipped since I ordered, as these units were "ready to be shipped"... I'm doing the above. The old headbanging on wall trick. To help with the headaches when the cannabis doesn't. I'm thinking about asking for a refund and waiting for black friday/cyber monday sales now. As with 10-15% off with some of these companies full units could lead me to acquiring a better quality build for my money overall. That chilled 660 sale would have been perfect a few weeks back for what I just spent, if people would have just followed through and ordered the fucking things when I said. But of course, I'm stuck waiting on my other patient with boat loads of cash and a possible refund on my hands now.

It's more than likely due to it having been a Sunday and scheduling conflicts. Not sure how they rely on a schedule there in China, or that specific province. As working hours can differ from different areas of China, and the intensity of labor that's either forced, or just accepted. I honestly can only speak from what I know, so they may not have been able to ship yesterday. As for why it wasn't shipped before. I don't get automatic notifications with this stupid Alibaba system, and it logs me out when AFK for too long, so I didn't get her message till the next day, (ordered the 16th) and she responded later that night, then I was only able to respond yesterday when realizing she had responded. And once again had to wait a whole other day for response. So it was likely already Sunday there for them. And now I'm back waiting for her to respond again on a certainty of what's going on. Last night she said she'd message me when they were gonna give me the shipping order #, but nothing else beyond that. And they are the top rated, trade assured, response time, and quality controlled manufacturer according to baba reviews... Which has been similar to my actual response so far from them. I'd love for these to turn out exactly what I expected and then some, and then hopefully I'll be ordering more in the future. Would have been better had we not had the hiccup of no lm301b's, as that led to me having to wait on her and vice versa.

i ordered a 240w 4000k setup from KB on Wednesday last week and it should be ready for pick up tonight. They were out of the 301b’s so I got the upgrade as well. More than likely because I ordered 2 600w units. Just kinda iffy that they claimed ready to ship, and then had to upgrade me, because they were out of lm301b's. It's the communication factor. Thats why I was kinda upset they hadn't shipped them last night when I was sleeping, but who knows...

Doesn’t seem like any of the Ali suppliers are willing to do 90cri lm301’s with a low MOQ unfortunately. Bava is trying to tell me that I should buy pre-assembled. He says it’s too many wires to figure out. Not a fan of companies that try and sway you away from what you want, to a more expensive price when that’s not what you’re asking of them. Especially when this is child’s play for any one with decent electrical knowledge.

Also does anyone have any recent grow experience with the new Cree xp2 reds? They seem to add almost $100 cdn per kit just for the cree addition. Is it worth it?

The par seems to be lesser in most of the mapping with cree xp2 reds, the RI is a lot higher than the epistars though. I'd go for it if you can afford it, as 660, IR are some of the more important inputs during flowering.

Yeah I feel that. I do have about $1000 for my flower light buuuuut, Christmas is also coming haha. It’s a good $250-$300 cdn diff between 3 240w kits with the epistars and the ones with the crees

got 5k worth of bars and drivers being built currently. Custom built insulated reefer shipping container, 40ft x 8ft, r30 insulation all around, wash out drains in the floors, aluminum reflective walls, mini splits, titties.
50 bars for now, 40 in 3500k, 10 in 6500k. more to come soon.
here's a sneak peak of the shenanigans to come. The flowering shots are of the seed run looking for keepers under COBs. theres CGS grand doggy jones, ethos purple skittles, ethos colorado chem, ethos insane in the membrane, and cold mountain cures lady marmalade in there. Theres fire to be found, i just have to sort them out. they are overfed and slightly burned, but i flushed and reset them over the last week so we are back on track.
