I have those boards, I believe. From what I'm gathering, the Epistar reds are not the best. I'd like to see something similar from HLG tested with the Meijiu boards so we would know! I'm great at delegating!

I'm happy with what I'm seeing from mine, but I I don't know any better... or worse. These are my first.

How much more is something comparable from HLG?

My problem with them is not necessarily price, it's that they never seem to have what I want in stock when I want it.

If you're not especially handy, a kit from somewhere may be the way to go, because they are dead simple to put together. Then copy that for more lights.

If you're handy, and have a bunch of junk of your own to work with, I'd just get boards and drivers from whoever you like. Ebay has a ton of way better heatsinks for cheap, and you can work up a much better hanging system for way cheaper.

All that malarky said, the next boards I get will be from HLG, just so I know.

Oh man, if I had room I'd definitely go back to the CMHs, I used to run 2x315 and they were amazing. There isn't a single thing LEDs do better, except maybe for heat production.
I'm probably just gonna go for vivosun 315w Cmh. If I get that QB meijiu an something goes wrong with it. It will be a hassle

So should i just build my own from hlg??? Its more expensive but their customer service is much better im sure...
If you can afford it hlgs customer service is going to be WAY better. I am suppose to hear back from Rita tomorrow about what they’re going to do.
I am positive they will not send a replacement board cause shipping. Just curious as to what refund they’ll provide. I am guessing $72 which is about the price of the board not including shipping and all that.
If you go with alibaba just keep in mind they’re customer service after you buy isn’t the best lol.
It still is a big savings if you’re building a big fixture/fixtures.

Is there a grow comparison Cmh vs Led?
We grow both CMH and Led, same cut. Its quite similar to LED, our plants were fine at temps (28-30C) that would mess them up with hps.
To get similar yields per tray we used about 25% more watts CMH than led per tray. Main difference was that the CMH were less finicky with temps/rh/vpd. Having a bit of IR in the spectrum makes it easier to grow with. Id recommend both

Good info and thanks for sharing.
I would say it depends on your climate which you should go with. Unless it’s like mine which is a roller coaster lol.
I haven’t ever grown with bulbs. But having said that LEDs are nice For me because I can let them temps get high with no negative effects. One grow I let temps get to mid 90s and the plants looked happy as fuck.
Since my grow room is now in my house during winter I can use the heat from the room to help heat my house just by cracking the door open some lol.
Now that it’s summer i run my ac, co2 and dehumidifier in my room that is “sealed” lol.

Really nice grow you got going! Be careful of airflow, especially with buds against the wall and corner. Some chunky buds...
Went it last night and one split and was laying over. I pointed my 3 fans all towards that table now that I harvested the big plants. So the table with the shorter plants should be good. Also able to keep RH lower now. Dude I am very impressed with how that right table is looking. Suprising myself.
Thanks for checking it out and reminding me air airflow. Thinking they have like 2-3 weeks left. Hopefully a good yield.
