just saw this.. cnp below..

A story from TWC News in Rochester reports that investigators have now reviewed two videos of they incident involving Tony Stewart and Kevin Ward Jr. Ontario County Sheriff Phil Povero said in the story that there are two different angles of Ward walking on the track after a crack at turn two on the 14th lap, and then being hit by Sewart's winged spring car.

Investigators still say that there are no facts to support criminal behavior or conduct, or probable cause in the crash; however, they emphasized that the investigation is open, the story said.

Sprint car driver Cory Sparks has come forward with his side of the story, telling about the angle he witnessed of the event. "From what I saw, Tony did everything in his power to turn down away from Kevin to avoid him," he was quoted in the story. "People say that they heard the engine rev up and he gassed it. In a spring car, the only way to steer is you steer with the rear wheels as much as you do the steering wheel. In my opinion, what he did was he gassed it to turn down away from him."

He also noted in the article that the videos posted online don't give an accurate portrayal of what happened. There was no video in Stewart's car.

Multiple sources reports that an autopsy conducted yesterday by the Ontario County coroner found that Ward's cause of death to be massive blunt trauma.

We all know what kind of guy Stewart is,he'd never admit it but in the heat of the moment I do believe he was trying to scare the dude and a terrible accident happened.
Kevin Ward should have never gotten out of his car!...much less stood in the middle of the track! The race was still under caution.Stewart sucks on the dirt!Imo..He should not be allowed back in a sprintcar!
That shit was accidentally on purpose;)
i'm not big into nascar, so i don't really know too much about tony stewart, but i have heard he does have a bit of a temper.. it'd be awful if he was trying to scare the dude or w/e, but i guess we'll never really know what was going on inside of his head atm as he'd surely never admit to it if it was some sort of stunt like that..

From what I noticed Stewart was coming out of a turn and still in a drift. Given the dirt track and speed I doubt there was much he could do as far as avoiding him. Also coming out of a turn it's not like you're looking that far ahead of the track, doubt he had much time to react. I understand the guy was steaming mad but to stand in the middle of the track while the race is underway? What did he expect to stop the car with his foot? Horrible accident none the less.

Not sure how many Michigan people check this thread but, anyone plan on heading out to the Dream Cruise on Saturday (8/16)? If you do plan on coming out and/or you're looking for something a little more action packed you may want to venture over to the other side of Detroit for this...

At the same time the Dream Cruise is going of there is also the MidWest Drift Union - Streets of Detroit drift event going on, and i can assure you its much more exciting than Woodward. Roosevelt Park in front of the old train station on Michigan Ave will be the place to be!

Who here has actually met tony?
I havnt wanted to watch or even look at footage of the crash but knowing tony and a professional sprint driver(b.lanktree) being a coworker ive made up my mind wards an idiot for leaving his car to give another driver shit, save that for the pits.
Tony felt bad about me wrecking my 1/12th pan car and gave me a brand new customworks kit because it happened while he was racing for the lead with another driver and i was getting lapped i drove straight into the boards to get out of the way;). Hes a fierce driver but hes still a nerd inside guys
