not trying to get too far of subject here but this member just posted this thread titling, "dont add RID-X". I had to see what he wrote...
"Jesus christ! I cant believe I did this. I tried it out as another member raved about how great it was. Bullshit. Within 6 hours my plants where drooped over, almost dead. I changed out the water and hoped for the best. The plants perked back up but are kind of light colored. The roots still have slimy shit all over them and I dont know what to do. I added some Hydroguard and plants look better but roots are horrible.
You guys think these femd girls will live and grow to flower or become hermies now?"
I bet some newb told him to add Rid-X.
I had a dude on my DIY Tutorial that told me I ought to try cat piss.
I wonder how you gather cat piss to start with?

Amen, I wish I could tell every new grower here that. It is what I call
Stinking Thinking.
I will admit I did it. ..on my first grow, added two spoons of Miracle Grow to the tank when all 6 were about 6 inches tall. EVERY LEAF fell off, but the owner of SH told me to wait and be patient, to drain it and replace with plain water. I did and they put out new leaves in less than a week.

This is my first hydro grow had some minor problems that have been fixed.
I am very paranoid to put anything in my res i'm not 100% sure about.
I've been using Sugar Daddy per Technafloras recipe for success.
I spilled some...oops. Now I'm not sure if i should even buy more. Do the plants need it?

Infexion....I use the Technaflora line of nutes for my grows. And I can say that your plants don't need it. But is a great supplement to have before you go into your final flush. Roughly 2 weeks before I am gonna harvest, I will run just ph'd water and sugar daddy for 4 days and then flush with ph'd water for the next 10 days. I have found that it will add some weight to your buds in the end, which is what I was looking for. And, if you flush properly you will leave some of those sugars in the plant to process after you harvest during the curing process, making your smoke a little more potent. Hope this helps.

well, I ordered some new seeds today.... I got Nirvana's Northern Lights Femmed, Got a 5 pack of some greenhouse Trainwreck, also L.A. Woman, and Lemon Skunk as freebies...

Well Jonny! NL is a classic! I have some purple wreck for a future grow and really like the idea of the trainwreck strain. Don't much about the LA but hte lemon skunk is supposed to be somewhat similar to my LSD and that's a good thing! What you gonna start first or are you gonna fire all of your guns at once and go into space!

Thank you funkydope. Yeah, I decided to get some more and continue using as reccomended by Technaflora.
The grow shop near me carries all the Technaflora nutes.
Another question, the grow shop is on my way to work. It is about 40F during the day now. Is that to cold for nutes to sit in for like 8 hours while I am working? The shop is closed by the time I get off work.
What kinda place closes at 7pm? Seems a little early, people need supplies past 7pm.

Yeah....that should be fine. When you get your nutes back home, just let them sit out for a while....but you should be fine.

Good point Funky! They were probably shipped to the hydro store and you in the back of an 18 wheeler or panel truck and those mothers get hot inside. They would have to allow for that in the formula.
