I am not going to say anythink snarky b/c I am extemely annoyed by people who try to be "tough guys" on chatboards, and your message was polite enough...but I obviously had the name first & it is you who should abandon and re-register....Regards IllegalSmile

Thanks for the support but that's not the right way. If the admin doesn't want to make him change it then there will be two Illegal Smiles, one trying to help others and one acting like a jerk. I'm hoping RIU will agree that it's a problem to have two confusing names like that, and since over half of his now 12 posts were made yesterday, nip it in the bud (no pun)

I am a long time smoker, first time grower. I started with a couple DIY setups from wal-mart. I have 3 small 6qrt tubs, with 3, 3in net pots, and an airstone in each one. I startde germinating the seeds on the 4th of july. They sprouted tap roots from the 6-9th. So they are roughly three weeks old. I have been experiencing several different things going on with them. They are under 4 26w 6500k, and 2 40w 2700k CFL's. They are in a small cab, approx 17in x 23in x 29. I have one computer fan inside upper back corner for exhaust. Cab temps have been around 80 degrees. The lights are on 24/7. Last week they started looking bad. Drooping leaves, getting these brownish/bronze spots, so I flushed them, started them on 1/4 strength nutes, and domed them to keep in some humidity. They almost immediately started looking better. No drooping, color looking better, still getting spots. A couple I have noticed have a green looking root coming out of the bottom, I remember seeing this somewhere related to a specific condition, I just can't remember.... I only have a cheap ph tester for now, have 3in1 ordered. Just got insurance settlement, and have a whole tent, fan/can, and light, 3in1 meter, commercial airpump on order will have next week. I am hoping that I can salvage some of my current babies, until there new home arrives. I have picked up complete line of FF hydroponic nutrients. I also posted pics in the plant problem forum, but not too many guys were familiar with the whole DWC/Bubbleponic setups. So I feel that I have found my new home. this is my first attempt, but I am not going to give up, and I am not going to soil. I will learn as I grow, and grow as I learn. you have to list a member as a friend, before you can PM them. Maybe taht it why the PM bounced back, I don't know. Try to PM Fdd2blk, he's a MOD.

I'll tell you straight, tho, I think your arguement or request is futile.

Why would you insult me? Understand that I have no ill will towards anyone...I visit this site a lot more then I post, but that does not mean you should call me a ButtHead. When I joined in March I had no idea that someone would join with a similar name (based on the same song I am sure) 4 months later. I saw the new name & did not message or comment because frankly I did not care. But I ask again why would you insult me? I am sure you know a lot about grass, and are helpful to people on here, which is a great thing, but what is the deal?

Man you guys should be on the radio good stuff. Illegal i wouldnt want someone to have the same name as me because i worked hard to have a good rep on here and wouldnt want someone to screw it up for me. You know what i mean.

I appreciate the retraction, and def except the apology. The last thing I would want to do is cause unnecessary drama/stress over a name on a message board, I think most of us deal with enough of that in our daily lives. To call me jerk because someone chooses a mb name similar to mine is just crazy to me & to insult my post count, what is that all about? I have been on here since march & have been soaking up a lot of knowledge from a lot of experienced growers & seemingly cool people. I am now 10 days into my first grow & my posts are going to increase as I seek the guidance (much appreciated) from people who have been there, done that.

Like I said, I saw the name & it didn't bother me. Go onto a San Diego Chargers MB and see how many variations of LT you have: LT, LT1, LTone, LTfan, etc....or lord forbid the 1000;s of Favre themed names on Packers MBs, it is pretty common for people to have similar names.

If it bothers Illegal Smile that much, then you should def change it. You have over 250 posts in a month, a year from now what does it matter if you have 3000 posts or 2750 posts? And I am sure your friends will have no problems giving you rep if that is important to you. If not, it certainly doesn't bother me & we can exist on here harmoniously: you the guy with the picture of the bird & tons of posts & me with the picture of Snoop & Willie with a much smaller # of posts who is seeking knowledge from experienced growers & progressing with his first grow. I don't think many people will get us confused. Like I said I think this is an awesome forum & I am thankful for the people who have encountered similar issues & are willing to help along the way. No ill will to the Bubblehead Gang, like I said I just didn't appreciate being "bullied" for something so petty.

Completely understood and appreciated. I don't think there should be any issue over this whatsoever. You guys don't even hang out in the same threads so who cares. Even if ya do, thats what avatars are for. :peace:
