The more air the better. It will grow without it, but there is almost no way to have to much. I run 2 large air pumps with 8 stones per tub with great results. Heres a shot of my tubs and girls

and the pumps

and the girls it makes

ok, so heres my deal. I want to switch from soil to bp and start a small perpetual sog. I have not really said much in this post because i want to get the general consensus on if its even possible to run a small style (5-10 plants) perpetual sog with cfl's. Ive done ALOT of research and have plenty of questions for anyone willing to hear. Ive got drawings, schematics, facts, figures, the works. I really want to make this thing work and i feel like i have put my head in first, before i just ran out and bought a fish tank. If this seems like a reasonable idea, then post after me! 1: no i will not, and cannot use any type of HID lighting. too hot, too expensive, outta my league. 2: i feel like ive covered most, if not all of my bases. of course im missing stuff, thats why i posted. but please, dont post some stupid shyte if you really dont know what youre talking about.:wall: read the faqs, run a grow, take pix, then talk to me. yea, its mean, but im trying to get shit done, not sift thru stupid dialouge for answers. kthxbye!

I use the most basic or bohemian DWC/Bubbleponic rig. It is a bucket with an airstone and pump, with the plant roots supported by grow rocks, in a netpot secured to the lid. See below

AKmommaresized.jpg

The above mother was grown from seed and is 6 weeks old in this picture.

I use the GH Maxibloom at 7gm/gal or Lucas Ratio's if you like. My well water comes in at 6.5 ph and 70-80 ppms hardness. After mixing the ph settles at about 5.5 ph, very fortunate I know. All my numbers are from Drop and Vile testing (dGH converted to ppms).

I control my room environment (temps/humidity/air/light), keep my sanitation on par, and res change weekly.

Things have been going well I run DWC in Veg and Hempy's in the 600 watt hps flower room. The hempy's are necessitated by the low ceiling as they are much lighter to move around. I'll be moving to a proper flower room with standing room and benches. So it will be DWC all the way.

I've read about this for what seems like an eternity, and been running like this for several months. The previous couple of years were hempy's only.

Ive gone from spending lots of time and money on nutes and adds, to maxibloom being the only thing in my res.

I do foliar feed very lightly every week until the 12/12 flip. I can't come up with anything that would necessitate any change in strategy.

So what am I missing here?

If you want some ideas, feel free to stop by my journal and see if you like anything. I have made what I feel is very good use of an abnormal space. I am running dual 600w's in dwc in a room that is only 3'4" tall. Here are a few pics to try to entice you.

Integra21-I'll have my head in that journal for a bit, and I'll probably have questions. Thanks a lot that should at least inspire me to get going on DWC in the flower room.
