This picture doesn't do it any justice but the soil on this land is amazing. It's sort of hard but every year I dig it up and drop it back down everyone who was on site today commented on how amazing the soil is and how lucky I am I have it

It's a sad day but the big dirty might be done for me
my partner and I have had a massive disagreement and I might just pull the plug on the whole thing or at the very least get paid to step aside. I'm going to drink some beers and weigh my options. Old fuckers think they know everything. It's his land my licenses and we both have money involved

The guy said in front of all our workers that if I'm late again or don't do what he says I get nothing at the end of the year! I laughed and said good luck with that your not my boss and I have the power to shut this whole thing down not him. I said I'm going home for the day and he said if I leave I'm off the project. So I left. If we have issues before the job starts what's gonna happen come harvest. So I'd rather lose 50k and two months of work so I don't have to do something I'll regret later. He loses 200k if I pull the plug

Hate to say it bro, but I agree with your partner. If your always late, that's not setting a very good example for the employees, not to mention the lost time. Then it sounds like you got pissed off and walked off the job, what was the point of that? To show him and your employees that you "do" have a "say" in this partnership? Sounds to me like your partner is on the ball and getting things done. Who is this guy? I need a good partner who's on time and get shit done, and has 200K to invest! Please PM me his digits!
My suggestion is this, set your alarm an hour or two earlier, be the first on the job, don't copp an attitude with your partner, and stick to the original goals. He's 4X's more invested on the finances than you are, and is working. If it don't work out this year, then go solo next year, lesson learned.
Hope I don't come off like a dick, but partnerships are tough, the first lesson to learn is to "swallow your pride" when in a partnership, your not always right. If you can't do that, then partnerships are not for you.
The truth is I'm more like you, partnerships don't work for me. I want shit done my way, so I do it myself. I want to get to work, when I want to get to work, not on some one else's schedule! By working solo I reap all my success, but also pay heavy when I fail.
Good luck brother, I was hoping to watch something special with this grow.

I wasn't late I had something to do until 10 and I was there at 10 like I said. The day before he took the whole day off to go buy beer and I didn't freak out just did my job. Long story short he's not my boss he's a partner and gets to say what happens on the project but not on what I do or even mention he can take my half.

He should have pulled you aside rather than in front of the guys.patnerships are not easy.you both have a lot to lose,I would suggest a sit down ,just him and you work it out,if it doesn't work better now than at end of season.its already may,the ball is rolling

I was warned about working with this guy by his life long friends but I didn't listen. Even his own wife said he was way wrong and he tries this tactic with other people so that they come crawling back to him. She says he likes to control people threw the fact he's got lots of money. I really made a bad choice to have a partnership it was a gamble. I only have my licenses at his property because he fucked me over on 20k and offered his land as payment. Little did I know that I wouldn't be able to move those licenses and each year after he charged me 10% for use of the land instead of taking rent each month. Hopefully one day I will be able to move those licenses
