The Best Hawaiian Landrace?

Hello can anyone offer any opinions on Hawaiian landrace, or IBL varieties? I'm not after anything crossed with skunk etc. Just pure Hawaiian genetics is what I'm after. The only one I've found so far on the European market is 'Spice' from Mr Nice Seedbank. Can anyone offer an opinion on Mr Nice- Spice, or any other pure Hawaiian genetics?

Thanks

ISS is a great plant indeed.

I do not know much about MrNice's Spice, I know its a combination of Hawaiian Indica/Sativa. Of course, there is no landrace Indica from Hawaii, however there is for sure Heirloom IBL I would think. There in the 70's on where some great grows, by accomplished breeder/growers from Imported seed stocks and it could be just awesome with links back to those original Heirloom imported genes.

For me, the best Hawaiian in pure form is a line we have from Puna County, we call, pure Puna, it is a very old Sativa that outside is a massive bush that produces c5lb of killer Sativa' with unique tastes and awesome high. It is very tricky indoors, does not like the cramped roots but still delivers awesome high, but absolutely no yields. Hence we do not sell it all the time as people would struggle with this one indoors. It is however available to other breeders if they ask.

We use Pure Puna as the mother line in a couple of Hybrids, most notably 'Hawaiian Star' she is awesome in out-crosses passing on those flavors and quality of high and benefiting greatly from the F1 vigor and increased bulk in the F1.

I like Hawaiian sativa from Federation. The strain appears to be pistillate hermaphrodite. You know, like Trainwreck. She bolts 14 inches first 10 days of flowering, then starts to slow. On veg cycle, I transplant cuttings into 1 gallon smartpots. When the plants are 14 inches tall, I top them to 4 leads. When the 4 leads reach 1 foot, I put the plants into.flower. Feed them 900 ppm bloom from day one of flower and after they bolt, I trim, scrim tie down and spray one last time for mites using Ultrapure horticultural oil. Bending increases yield. I use twisty ties. I feed them 900 ppm until flush on week 9. The recirculating solution is allowed to float up to 100 ppm, no higher. Couple of bananas show up on the plant starting week 4. With CO2, the buds are massive already and they have 8 weeks to go. Not much viable female pollen is produced, but it is there. Don't really care because a self pollination results in my Hawaiian in seed form! Just in case stupid stoners thing happens and I lose my clone mother! Last time I grew her, my best clones yielded 42 grams of manicured bud per 0.88 gallon smart pot, filled 3/4 full of media! It smells like lemon and tastes like incense! Wow! Also, I can snag the bananas with the female pollen and cross on to ANY ELITE FEMALE! THAT IS A DOUBLE WOW! Somoans most-likely selected for pistillate hermaphrodite because it was a very vigorous inbred line, produced only a few anthers, but the result seed was all female and a clone of their harvested plant! Lots of good bud and seeds for next year! Not all hermies are bad. I have a good pistillate hermaphrodite and tastes WAY BETTER THAN TRAINWRECK! MORE POTENT TOO!
