My Grandpa told me when I was 12, when he saw me looking at a girl walking down the street:

"Love them where you find them son.... and Leave them where you love them..."

IDK if I took that to heart...
Good advice, if you are a dick.... I've been married/divorced 3 times, so, thinking back, maybe I did listen to Grandpa...

"Prohibition will work great injury to the cause of temperance. It is a species of intemperance within itself, for it goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes. A Prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."Abraham Lincoln (1809-65), U.S. President.
Speech, 18 Dec. 1840, to Illinois House of Representatives
My Grandfather was a teenager during prohibition in Newfoundland. Lucky for him, large ships from Europe would come into the harbor and he could go drink on the boats. One night after he had partaken quite a bit, he tried to smuggle four bottles of cognac on shore in his jacket. He crept up over one of the many goat paths leading to his house in the dark but sadly, he stumbled and lost all four bottles....My family lived in the same area of Newfoundland for many generations, When "pop" was 67 years old, he was out walking down too the water slipped on some moss and cut his knee on a broken bottle...as he retrieved the piece he saw it was from a broken bottle of cognac. The memories came flooding back. He spent the an hour searching around and found three intact bottles that had laid there in the cool moss for some fifty years. That night him and his sons shared in what remained of his youth.
From this I took
~lost but not forgotten,
~Not everything stayed buried
~you are never too old to enjoy your youth
~people don't forget

BTW, my Grandfather was always had time for us kids and that was truly the greatest gift he ever gave me.

80/20 Rule...Pareto Priciple

It has served me well for over 20 years in business. I'm now retired at 45.

States that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes.

Named after Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, who observed in 1906 that 80% of the land in Italy was owned by 20% of the population; he developed the principle by observing that 20% of the pea pods in his garden contained 80% of the peas.
The distribution is claimed to appear in several different aspects relevant to entrepreneurs and business managers. For example:

  • 80% of your profits come from 20% of your customers
  • 80% of your complaints come from 20% of your customers
  • 80% of your profits come from 20% of the time you spend
  • 80% of your sales come from 20% of your products
  • 80% of your sales are made by 20% of your sales staff

Therefore, many businesses have an easy access to dramatic improvements in profitability by focusing on the most effective areas and eliminating, ignoring, automating, delegating or retraining the rest, as appropriate. Source: Wikipedia

I know this is rather crude but I found wisdom in it none the less.

Never make promises after orgasim, they tend to be slippery when wet.

"Be honest with yourself and others. If anything you're doing in life is not what you should be doing, stop. Life is way too short to continue in the wrong direction, and the longer that you do, the less time you Will have to travel in the right direction."
