The ash from good weed question

I think ive read in the past that a way to tell how good your plant has been flushed is by the ash. The lighter the ash the better ?

If so, I take it the best way to test your harvest is with a bong/pipe etc... that way u can see the ash and inspect the leftovers. {but obviously if it rips your throat apart theres no need to check ash,u know it hasnt been flushed}
And joints would obviously have tobacco ash. And i suppose blunts would be a not bad way of telling too minus the skins ash. But blunts are bigboy shit. Not for me lol. Give me my skinny ass pencil joints any day.:eyesmoke:

So anyway, would that be true ?

Thanks.

Well cured/dried bud will ash white. Well flushed herb will not pop or crackle when you toke it and should be smooth if it was cured properly. Though I have had some bud that is just flat out harsh regardless of how well it was cured and flushed.
yup...

Some bud is harsh on the throat no matter what, I've never heard of the ash making a difference, but hey the ash is usually white to hell yeah! haha

if you look at it from the opposite end i think most people will agree that if the ash stays black it indicates something is out of whack. one of my biggest weed peeves is taking a few hits off the bowl and it tastes like shit already so you stir it only to find a bunch of black ash chunks that are not worth smoking and only burn your throat. usually this is either because the weed wasn't dried correctly or was not flushed correctly. for me it's not always obvious which but either way it's no fun to smoke and a major waste of weed.

Hi guys. I forgot i posted this thread lol. Took a few hits from my new bong before i wrote it, thatl prob explain it.

Found a few more threads on the subject, and from what i can gather, generally white ash is a good sign that the weed has been flushed properly, but like a few of you said, good weed can still be harsh, but all in all theres is just too many varibles to take into consideration.

The reason i asked was because my bud gburns black after a hit in a bong, it doesnt taste of much and isnt harsh on the throat, but that could be down to the perc and diffuser. But its pretty much confirmed that i havnt flushed properly.
