I must admit that I had no knowlege of this fringe before Buck posted the OP of this thread. Racists don't get much attention from me unless they threaten to take power like Trump did. I'm not surprised, however that something like this is developing into a movement. So, here is a guide to shitheaded pencil neck geeks that want to dispossess almost half of this country:

Over the last few months, the so-called “alt-right” has become one of the most prominent factions of the conservative media. The movement’s leading outlet is Breitbart News, whose chairman, Stephen Bannon, has just become the CEO of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

In many ways the “alt-right” is a rebranding of classic white nationalism for the 21st century. As BuzzFeeddescribed the movement: “In short, it’s white supremacy perfectly tailored for our times: 4chan-esque racist rhetoric combined with a tinge of Silicon Valley–flavored philosophizing, all riding on the coattails of the Trump boom.”

The “alt-right” opposes diversity and immigration, arguing that those policies are a form of “white genocide.” It embraces racism, sexism, anti-Muslim bigotry, and anti-Semitism and sees its goal as usurping the traditional conservative movement, which it views as feckless and weak, in favor of a brand of nationalism.

With the ascension of Trump, the “alt-right’s” chosen candidate, as the nominee of the Republican Party, its mission is all but accomplished.

The article has a list of key words and jargon the alt right use. It's just as arcane as the KKK, and will look just as strange in the 2090's as the KKK did in 1990's. Coincidentally, the KKK had a big surge in political participation almost 100 years ago. The alt right looks to expand it's participation after Trump loses. I'm wondering if Bannon will take the mantle of Trumpist in chief after Trump gets hauled away for child molestation.
