thanks blue and thanks dawg

update time.

finally starting to see some bud development on the buddha tahoe. learned a lot from this one.
she stretched for a week maybe a little more then seemed to stop and all her branches got really rigid. i thought for sure stretch was over and even if i wanted to keep training i would have just snapped branches anyway. then after another few days she seemed to hit second stretch and she went nuts. she stretched for around 3 weeks all up.

i did take one thing from the experience. i need to be able to move my screen up. if i had of moved my screen up 2 inches before the second spurt of stretch i would have easily been able to train her a lot more. still though I'm pretty happy with how she's looking. she's a picture of good health and the buds although slow to start look to be very frosty.

although a lot more indica in her growth pattern than i was expecting the bud structure and leaves are very OG

on to the vanilla kush. very happy with this one. bud development is very quick. looks like i might get a pretty nice yield on this one.
she is showing signs of a little too much N so I'm cutting back from 1-3-4 ratio of flora grow-micro-bloom to 1-2-4 that will cut back a fair amount of N

this vanilla kush is so different to my last one. much more sativa in the blend i think. my last one stayed very small but produced long running colas. it had nearly no smell at all through the grow but had the most awesome smell dry.

this one grew quite large with a fairly sativa structure and it looks as though I'm going to get more of an OG type bud structure with a large top knot on each branch but some really nice sized buds on lower nodes. its only early days but she's already starting to pump out the funk. its got a nice rotten fruit/orange peel smell. I'm pretty happy with this pheno. although i loved my last pheno too. gotta get more of these and do a selection run me thinks

vanilla kush is smelling terrific. nearly no smell at all lingers in the air so great stealth strain. but give a nug a little squeeze and you are blessed with a super sweet orange peel / coffee bean smell. delicious

Hey 2easy-
First off, beautiful plants and nice grow log!

Second, I think I might have some info about why your buddha tahoe looks like that - did it seem to look fine at first and then after the flowers developed the pistils died/shrunk way sooner than they should? Like everything is fine except for bud development, like the buds just won't grow any more? Have you thought about the possibility that you have broad mites? Much different that spider mites, broad mites are really really tiny so you can only just barely see them with a good microscope, definitely not with the naked eye. Anyways the look of you buddha tahoe is almost exactly like what my larryxbubba looked like and it turned out I had broad mites. Here's a link to a post I made on one of Jin's previous grow journals with pics of my plants, it looked similar where it seemed fine and healthy except that the buds were all shrunken and tiny, and the pistils seemed to pull in way too early. Also a weird thing was it seemed like the tahoe og growing right next to the infected plants was untouched by the broad mites, can't figure that one out-

Anyways just something I thought I'd mention because of how similar your plant looks to mine and I was totally stumped at the time, something to look into if you have a good microscope. The eggs are the giveaway sign, since the actual mites are probably too small/fast to see, but the eggs look like soccer balls or honeycombs. Since you're already well into flower it's tough to get rid of bugs, but a product called Mitey Wash seemed to help me and it is safe to use in flower (kind of expensive for basically just water I think, but not too many safe things to use late in flower)

hey thanks frotastic. yeah she is really healthy i would say robust even but just no bud development. its funny the bud that is there looks fine, the calyxes are swelling up nicely and the resin content is nice but she just didnt produce many flowers i really think its too late now because she's filling in and i doubt she would throw out more pistils now anyway but i will check and make sure cause the last thing i need is something like that spreading

haha thanks blue. that plant is actually a let down. the buds look nice but i will probably only get bout an ounce off of her. very disappointing.

the vanilla kush might not look like much in the pics but in person she's the real winner those buds are big and fat and heavy.
