THC Bomb, Super Silver Haze, Mazzar Attic Grow

This is my attic grow. I will post the pic's I have already taken and try to put the right dates on them. The strains THC Bomb, Super Silver Haze, and Mazzar x Afghan from Marijuanaseeds-nl. I also have some Cheese Afghan seeds but neither of the 2 I planted germinated. I will try the paper towel method next time. I use Botanicare Pure blend Pro and Liquid Karma. My system it a top feed with about 4" of nutes with an air stone in each pot. the pot gravity drain back to the 4" level through the hose in the side to a catch basin with a 2" float switch which send it back to the res. my feed pump cycles for 5 min every 45 min or so. So the thing top feed floods the bucket. The water level goes up into the basket about an inch. It takes about 10 min to drain back down to the 4" level where the roots do the whole DWC thing. It is my mutant hybrid system. I have used this system in up to 24 pot configurations. There are 2 600 watt HPS lights in Sun Systems Sun Tubes, 2 340 CFM fans, I will hook up the carbon filter soon and I will hook up the Co2 when I flower. It will all be tied together with a Sentinel CHHC 1 controller. I plan on growing the seedlings up till I can take 3 or 4 clones off each one. keeping track of which clones come off which plants I will flower the plants to sex get rid of the males and plant some happy healthy 1st generation clones. these first pics were taken 2 days ago on the 12th. They had been planted in the buckets for two days.

These pics were taken today and the difference is totally noticeable. 4 days ago when I put the cubes in the bucket the roots were about 1/3" out of the bottom of the cube. I now have happy hairy little roots poking out of the basket. They grew 4" in 2 days!! WOOT! The red squiggely thing on the bottom of the basket that looks like yarn is an old dead root that my lazy ass didn't get out of the basket.

Went in and topped the 2 Silver hazes and took a few fan leaves off that were covering growth tips. I know some one will bitch about cutting off my fan leaves but in a few days everything will be all spread out and I will have about 6 to 12 good tops instead of 1 or 3. Both silver haze plants are 6 nodes tall. Maybe a foot tall. I'm going for the short bushy effect here because of my height restrictions. I can wait for my garage. Will post pics after plant recover from topping. The roots are developing well; long and white with lots of little hairs. Some are over a foot long and all the plants have reached the DWC part of the system. I am very happy. I will be cutting clones in a week or 2 at this rate and start sexing the mothers.

So here is an update. So I had a little pH drift. The batteries in both my particle pen and pH pen were dead. I did not replace them for over two weeks. I figured "Oh I use this stuff enough I can wing it for a week or two". What a dumb ass I am. I always preach to other hydro growers how important checking you nutes is. Well you slack a little and this is what you get. My pH went up to 7.8 but I had my TDS right on at 1360 which isn't bad for guess work. My pH is now a happy 6.1. I got a little leaf yellowing in the margins but all in all I caught it early enough to prevent any serious damage. I topped them 4 days ago and took a couple of big ass fan leaves out of the way of growth tips. The have recovered from the chop and are about twice as big now. THC Bomb #2 the one on the left in the back took the worst of the pH problem.

I put these under lights 14 days ago. I just gave the have it's second topping. ans switched the lights to 12/12. I took clones yesterday so they loke a little chopped up. I also cleared out a couple of bag ass fan leaves that were covering up tips. The Silver haze is exploding but the THC Bomb is going a little slower but that damn Mazar is just so compact. It's tiny. The weird thing is every one of the plants has 6 nodes. 2 week veg is the shortest veg I have ever done bu I don't have a lot of room. I might not even finish vegging these plants depending on how the sexing goes. If I get more than 1 male it will be better to just restock with freshly sexed clones in all 6 pot. I mean I only need to veg them for 2 or 3 weeks in this room. Here are some before and after pics that are 14 days apart.

This is my update. I went in to 12/12 ten days ago. The silver Haze is just going off. I am looking for signs of sex but haven't really seen much yet. I am only going to grow 1 strain next round and will be giving the rest of my clones to a friend after sexing. with this small of a space I need to focus on keeping them all the same size. I had to pick a new strain to start up this time and I had planned on growing in a garage but things change. It took a little longer than usual to get roots this time. I did not have my particle pen as I loaned it to a friend and it took him like a week to bring it back. so I had to eye ball the KLN and nutes. My nutes were 700PPM!!!!! My pH was 6.4 and I have now way of telling if I got the hormones right but it all worked out in the end.

Had to replace a 600 watt light with a 1000 watt light and move the girls around. I only broke one small bottom branch that would have got cut off later anyway. I think one of the thc bombs is a male. We'll see.

Hope you have better luck with your mazar than we did. We called it the odoul's of weed, it didn't do much. One of my buddies plants never formed any buds but it sure did have a lot of leaves. I have one thc bomb and it's my biggest plant. I got the variety pack from greenhouse seeds through the attitude. It includes four hazes one being super silver haze, ajan's haze#1, strawberry haze, neville's haze and hawaiian snow. I also got some malawi 99, jock horror and sour cream. The jock horror and malawi 99 are regular seeds. I plan on starting four plants, two feminized and two regular and hope I get a male for pollination purposes. Let me know how you haze turns out.

what are the white pvc tubes for? i cant seem to figure it out for the life of me

will do! The pvc is so I can support them during flowering. I put in extensions and tie them up or down as needed.

I just tied the girls down. The two silver haze plants were getting out of hand. I only veg'd them 21 days. I put in a few of the extension tubes so I had tie down points. Usually I have more room and grow them taller so the extensions are more practical but I had to shove this grow in a small attic. It kinda sux. I have to crawl in on my hands and knees. The peak of the attic is about 5 1/2 ' tall. I am running out of room. I think I veg'd 21 days. I will post some more pics in a few days after they turn back toward the light and get more comfortable with the new arrangement.

What you are voicing is my concern with growing sativa indoors. I think I can handle a six foot plant, but that would really be pushing my height limit. My first grow I'm going to plant a strawberry haze, a malawi 99, a sour cream and a jock horror. The strawberry and sour cream are feminized, the other two are not. I'm hoping to get a male so I can make some seeds. I'm going to start with two gallon containers, waste paper baskets, and if the plant proves managable and I have the room, the next grow I'll use three gallon containers. Keep posting I'm following your thread. I'm really interested to see how your super silver haze turns out, I have one feminized seed of that strain. My partner grows in a closet and always ties his girls down and they love it.

No problem. I just had to rip out a THC Bomb last night because it was a male. so now I have a little more room in the garden. Will post soon.

I should be able to tell any time now what my one thc bomb is going to be. I got those seeds from the same place you got yours. How's the mazar doing? Leafy? I see you are using cool tubes, do you like them? What kind of coverage does one provide? I'll be in the process of fine tuning my grow room for some time. I'm already considering another light, one just doesn't provide enough coverage.

Love the cool tubes. Actually they are Sun tubes from Sun Systems. I think they are better constructed. They have metal housing around the socket and wiring. I don't like having the wires exposed to the light. I they don't get hot at all but it is also 39 degrees outside. I have a 1000 watt HPS and a 600 HPS in them right now. I am running a 340 CFM in line Eco plus fan pushing air from outside and out the roof vent. I had 2 600 watt lights but I bought some cheap ass bulbs and they are going out on me. I thought it was the ballast but I replaced the (bad ballast) and now another bulb did it. I know that both of my Brand new Sun System Harvest Master Pro ballasts cant be bad! I had to cut down my favorite THC Bomb because it grew a set of balls. It was the bushy one too. I was kinda bummed. The other one I kinda hacked up when I cloned it but it is flowering faster than either of the other two strains. I think I am going to germ some ICE a friend hooked me up with. I am pretty sure that all 4 plants left are girls. The mazar is such a hardy little plant. It is beautiful but it does not grow fast. I plan on starting a clone of Mazar in Jan so I can have it about 5 feet tall and I am going to put it in a 35 gallon Rubbermaid trash can bubbleponics set up outside in late may. I plan on burying 6 trash cans up to about 6 inches from the top. Painting the top white and staking my plants out to the ground. It is gonna make my last outdoor look silly. I am going to grow Ice, Super Silver Haze, Mazar, TCH Bomb, Cheese and probably an Orange Stink x Silver Haze. I have some pics from a few days ago and I will post more latter tonight or tomorrow after I go bend and tie some branches into the hole that housed THC Bomb #1also there are some pics of sun and cool tube guts notice the difference. If you shove a 1000 in a cool tube you can cover between 8x8 and 10 x 10 with one.

Well I filled the hole that was left when I had to cut down the THC bomb male. (sad face). I pulled the silver haze plant behind it over and tied tit down. That will give me another couple of days. The haze grows fast as hell. It is not a medium plant indoors. The THC Bomb is flowering way faster than the others. It has little budletts forming already and the others just have the little hairs still. Me garden is right on the edge of exploding right now. In the next 2 week it is really going to explode. I need to figure out how I am going to harvest the THCB from the middle back spot where it is buried since it is going to be done way before anything ells in the garden is. I am getting energised about the grow again. I get a little apathetic and lazy sometimes when I don't see the progress I am use to. But then I remember that this crop is only 50 days old

They are looking fantastic. What kind of yield are you hoping for from the silver haze? I know the bomb is supposed to be a huge producer. Maybe using smaller containers next time will help in your height situation?
