Howdy Newbie Central!

I rarely post pics of the grows I'm doing, however in the last 8 weeks or so I keep having HID and growspace hiccups. (For those of you I've talked to, yes those HID issues are still plaguing me) Anyway, with my schedule and such I've opted to finish my ladies at a fellow growers but kept one to myself. Ol' Bernice. I named her Bernice because I thought it was a little more complimentary than Bertha.

Been keeping her going under CFL light for the past while but she has been an HID babe most of her life.

For fun, I decided to go monster bush. The kind of bush that will put out enough to keep you satisfied for a long while. I achieved this through light coaching (technique recommended to me that I had never tried), some stress training and topping. Got 4 colas going nicely, she is currently 3 feet, 11 inches tall from dirt to tip and a whopping 3 feet, 4 inches across. The picture does not display very well, but with the air circulation in the room the leaves get good movement. Pulling that back exposes a forest of growth tips.

That is an 8 gallon pot designed for small trees and in front with the terra cotta color is your standard 3 gallon planter pot for scale.

*Edit* Whatcha think fellas?

Heh, sort of a longer story on my reasons -

This is a slightly underdeveloped bagseed. Wanted to show what a careful hand and some solid TLC could do for THC.

Before everyone asks, yes its a girl. Female preflowers in full show.

Conversion bulb toasted in a 600 watt, ballast had a frequency problem as well. Didn't have the cash for a shipping return for a week or so, shipped it in, waited the 10 days turnaround, came back, wrong adaptor for my reflector assembly. . . . . . tearin the hair out. Haha.

Its what I had man. Let me give you some advice with electronic ballasts. They're new, go with the #1. Lumatek, generics still don't have it down as well. #2. Don't use a conversion bulb in an electronic ballast. Its an HPS bulb with a MH filament jerry-rigged into it or vice versa. The electronic ballast starts shooting up HPS power because thats the bulb structure, then switches quickly because its an MH filament. The power fluctuation burn the bulb out in within 10% of their expected lifespan. Sunmaster has already stopped warrantying any conversion bulb of theirs that has been used in an electronic ballast.
