I recieved thai and malawi from the attitude...the malawi were up and in rockwool in 12 hrs.! the thai show no signs and it's been 3 days. there's other stuff poppin' up all around them. are they solid duds? or do they take a long time? I keep the container(glad plastic) around 90 degrees. has anyone who's actually done a thai grow got any advice?

don't worry. It's not too late for them. I just germed some Satori. They were big, fat, healthy, stripped seeds. Over the years, you would think it would become a no brainer to germinate seeds. I only planted 2 because I already have a full rotation of 2 other strains, and I run a VERY small perpetual SOG grow.

I always do it the same way: I put 2 coco cups filled with dry Jiffy mix in a little cheap "glad" 3x5 snack container. They fit perfectly, maybe a 1/4 inch to spare when you put on the lid. I make a 1/4 inch hole in the middle of each with a pencil. I put the seed in the hole, make sure it is laying down or attachment end up. then I put a drop of dish soap in the container. then I put a something to weight down the cups and hold in the mix, ussually my hand and slowly fill the container with water. I let it soak a little while and then drain off the extra water. I let it dry for a day then when it's not soaking anymore I put the lid on and check every 6 hours or so.

Lots of explanation just get to this. 1 was up late the second day, Like I expected for good fresh seeds. So by day 5 i'm starting to write off seed two. Day six and still nothing. I start to think I must have rotted it with too much moisture. Late on day seven I decide to start a replacement, and I carefully start to pick away the jiffy mix...I see a healthy bend in a root and the seed coat still in place I cleared away a bit more, carefully removed the seed coat. That was last night. Today she has greened up and spread out her seed leaves. YAY!!!

how long will my greenhouse seeds last? i got them in march and they've been in a tin in drawer since.
they last longer in the fridge, but they should be good at room temp for at least 2 years or so, if they are kept dry.

Old seeds can take much longer than normal. I've had them come up next to their siblings 3 weeks later.

i thought they did make seeds because it takes so long for a strain to get to the tude and they do their own THC tests.

could be, but there are no seeds that aren't designated as coming from some other company that I can find. :dunce:

Go to the online growing school--Dr. VonDankenstine in this forum---the first section is fast easy seed growth--if they don't pop with that method----"their probley not going to pop... best of luck and hope this helps...

for a while I was guessing that attitude/G13 were one in the same, but now the freebees are Dinafem (which are expensive) so guess not. I think that Gypsy Nirvana DOES produce seeds (makes cheap F2s is what I heard) and sells them. They have a slot at Seedbay, so i'm guessing it's true of them.
