Hey all I ordered seeds over the comp put them in an organic soil mix with minimal added fert planted seed and its been ab out 3 days. . .

So the problem. . .

I noticed tonite that 3 of my seeds popped up tonight and the preleaves are really yellow and I mean no green is that normal or do I need to do something?!?!?! This is my first time spending money on seeds so I need help to make it worth it!!!!!!!!!

Thanks fellas I know you guys out there all know what I don't.

It's normal. The first set of leaves (cotyledons) have a little membrane on them that is usually brown or yellow. It's green underneath. They will shed this membrane probably by the time you read this LOL.

Finally some knowlege thanks for the reply I was noticing some views but no one was saying anything thise relieves some stress thanks a bunch. . . Happy tokin

How do I stop those stems from getting longer without hurting my plant?? Anyone know how close CFL's can be to a seedling? I have (2) 100 watt equiv. (blue spec) and (1) 150 watt equiv (red spec) in a three way above the plants the lights now are about 16"-18" away can I go closer without damage?

Good lord man. That explains the stretching. 16-18 inches is for HPS and MH. WAY too far for CFLs. Park those puppies 3 inches or less from your plants. CFLs can be touched with bare hands when they are on. They won't burn your plants unless in direct contact with the leaves.
