Strain: TGA Genetics Querkle

"Dank" pheno at week 6 flower

"Sweetness" pheno at week6 flower

"Dank" pheno closeup at harvest

Growth:
Grown in coco/perlite mixture at 75/25 in my medical garden. Vegged under 1000 watt MH and 400 watt HPS. Flowered in room with 2400 watts HPS and 400 MH.

I ended up w/ 5 females out of 8 that started. Growth in the Indica dominant phenos is slow, slower than anything else in the garden. I selected 2 phenos to keep, "Dank" is the very Indica pheno w/ amazing colors. She started getting purple colors in week 3 of flower. Pheno 2 is "sweetness", this less purple pheno smells nothing like "dank"
I got heavy variation in all the females, no 2 plants were identical. I was searching for different phenos and a good male. I did get 1 male that took clones of and then used to pollinate a couple clones that ive been running for quite a while.

Nutes:

GH Flora series w/ Calmag+ and Bud Candy in flower. Schedule was feed-feed-water

Yield: Both phenos 7.5/10
Acceptable but not high. I had been reading as much as I could find about Querkle, I knew going into the grow that it would not be a heavy yielding strain. I would recommend topping early and often to maximize yield

Bag Appeal: "Dank" pheno 10/10, "Sweetness" pheno 9/10
The bag appeal on both is great. The appeal of "Dank" is out of this world, super vibrant colors throughout the flowers, tear open a bud and the purples are in the middle of the bud. "Sweetness" pheno is purple, much less than "dank". "Sweetness" is still vert nice looking w/ a nice bright green and some purples.

Smell: "Dank" pheno 6/10, "sweetness" pheno 10/10
The smell of "Dank" is straight up funk. Think a danky, moldy basement and thats about it. Honestly I dont enjoy the smell of this pheno at all.
The smell of "sweetness" is what I was shooting for, heavy sweet grape smell with a tiny bit of dank mixed in. Both pheno smell VERY strong, some of the stinkier plants in my garden.

Taste: "Dank" pheno 2/10, "Sweetness" pheno 10/10

Both taste just as they smell. taking a hit of "dank" is like smoking a moldy basement. I do not like the taste of this pheno at all, none of my patients really enjoyed the taste of this pheno either.
Now, the taste of "sweetness" is a real treat. It tastes like it smells, reminds me of grape flavored Big League Chew bubble gum.

The High: "Dank" pheno 10/10, "Sweetness" pheno 8.5/10

The high from "dank" was very surprising, very strong. I was taken back by how strong it is. This pheno is staying in the garden as a couple patients have noted its great pain and insomnia relief. This hits you in the head hard and fast. The smoke is thick and expansive. Not for the lightweight smoker or a good daytime med. The high is VERY Indica couchlock.

The high of "sweetness" is not as strong as "danK" but still strong. Little more of a Sativa influence, doesnt KO you instantly like the other pheno. Great for an all day med in my opinion.

Comments:
IM happy with how the strain went in my garden, I selected 2 females to keep and 1 male to pollinate. Im hoping that male will pass along the grape smell and flavor I was searching for. The "dank" pheno is easily the prettiest plant Ive ever grown, unreal colors in that pheno. The "sweetness" pheno has the taste I was hunting for, sweet grape smell and taste. Gotta say Im happy with the results. I wasnt searching for a massive yield, I was after the grape flavor and I found it.

cool thanks for the report. +rep

i plan to stay away from TGA's stony gear, but his jack's cleaner 2 kicks anything's buttocks i've ever tried so far. very trippy that one.

i want to try apollo 13 vortex. going by the descriptions, that's about as stony as i want to go with TGA stuff. i'll pass on jillybean too, but plushberry sounds good for flavor breeding.
