Texas flowers

So I'm sure a lot of people know how hot it gets in Texas during the summer. I'm looking for suggestions on flowers that thrive in our dry heat. I prefer low maintenance, works fine in window boxes, and preferabaly have some strong scents.... Not nasty smells.

Any suggestions?

Sedums, alyssum, helichrysum, rosemary, lavender, "wave" petunias. I've used them all. Hope that helps.

I already planned on rosemary, thank you for the others. Now I need to go check them out.
