End of week 4 for the Sundae driver today. Ive seen others grows of this and in my opinion I feel like im behind somehow. Ive been looking around for a good co2 meter so I can see what ppms I have going on in the tent but I havent made my final decision yet. Anyone know of a good brand of co2 ppm monitors?

Just buy the hlg qb3s and buy a cheap apc driver. Way cheaper. Of course you dont get the photocell but who needs that just put it on a timer.

So, you are halfway in.. aye or nay on it doing anything?
I had another strain that did finish faster by a week but looks like this one is a longer finishing time so I think It will go maybe two more weeks. I have two other strains in there that have still awhile to go before I make my final conclusion.

End of week 8 today. I think next week is harvest. Sorry for not being able to take close ups. Shes in the back of the tent and I dont want to unzip the side because of the ducting and wiring but next week Ill have better closeups.

Did you learn or conclude anything on the co2?

I did manage to get a co2 meter and the co2 levels were around 500-600 in the tent. I pull in air from outdoors. I heard from the wake and bake america show that the minimum level you should have to grow good bud is around 400 ish. With co2 800-1200 is ideal. I havent gone digging around anymore on it yet as I dont plan on using co2 for now. Im okay with what I got for now.

Heres a wedding cake at day 57. Ive heard she goes for 10 weeks. I had my ph at 6.3-6.4 (coco) and I may have locked out manganese on the wedding cake. She got beat up pretty good. The other plants were fine but this wedding cake is picky. From now on I aint running anything except 5.8. Anyway, im not sure on the far red. Ill have to run the wedding cake a second time to see how long she takes without stress.IMG_2746.JPG

I know this is old post but i just found it
So this explains why running far red along with ur light is a good idea but of course it effect will be different in different strains
i planning on running 15 min before 12/12 cycle along for 12 hr and turn them off 15 min after my main light goes off.
but i use rapidled FR puck so its not too strong for tent

Yeah, I missed this also. I got some led's from rapid and added about 15w of deep red and 20w of far red to my 3x3 tent. They are on separate drivers and timers. I run different light levels depending on growth stage, but right now I have about 290w of white qb light.

Right now I run the deep red from just before mains on to 30 mins before mains off. I turn on the far reds 5 minutes before mains off and keep them on for 30 minutes after.

I was doing this through veg and just switched to flower. It was like a starting gun went off. Plants are up probably 8 inches in 3 days. Of course, I also added co2 and raised the temps and humidity in the tent to vpd levels so it's hard to tell what did what. Oh, and this is a sativa dominant strain whereas I usually run indica's.

So far the plants are loving the combination, but it looks like I should maybe cut back on the far red time some?

The rate of stretch on these plants is scaring me. At this rate, they will be in the attic by week 4, and my grow is in the basement. Although the nodes are still tight.

I made a mistake in the last post, my far reds were only on for 15 minutes after lights out. I dropped that back to 7 today. All they are doing is putting them to sleep. I'm not trying for an Emerson effect.

I may have to do an aggressive leaf strip at the end of week one to try to slow them up a bit.

Sheesh, first world problems. ;)
