Well im in BC and there are many stores i could go to. Ive never bought the capacitor but im sure they are cheap. I Get Old 1000watters for 50 dollars used. A 1000w digital goes for 3-4 hundred for the good ones. Depends where you go. Your better off getting a used one. Im guess around 20-30$ new from the average store?
Im not to much of a coco fan. It depends how many waters a week you have to do. I water 2-3 times a week in ProMix.
EXample. Set a feeding amount each week. Its either you feed once and water once or feed with every watering at 50%
Lets say you have 100 plants and they need 40 gallons a week. You can either give them a full strenght feeding with 20 gallons then next watering with plain. Or give them a half strenght feeding with all 40 gallon(Over the weeks time. Since i do smaller containers i feed with every watering at 50 % dilute 700ppm.
I set an amout for the week and stick to it.
Now if your growing in a soil bed/table then you would feed once a week and water once a week. Larger amouts of soil/soilless can hold larger amounts of water and nutrients.
Get a resorvior and a ppm meter. Your plant is going to be hungry so i suggest you feed everywater at 800ppm.
If you are using a three part hydroponics it should tell you on the bottle how many ppms per tsp or tbsp. If you are using 10-30-20 or something like that useing a teaspoon per gallon. 40 gallons=200mL=13tablespoons. For a 55 gallon i use 1 cup. Every other watering
If your soil contains other nutrients i would only use 1 half cup per 55gallon. And every other watering.

You might need another air stone in there dude. If you going to use DWC please use A two or three part hydroponic food. You will find least amout of problems by using hydroponics with hydroponics.

How are fem seeds made by the seedbanks?

I've just skimmed the thread and I would say smiley (no relation by the way) knows enough to be of help to the great majority of noobs who come here looking for help. The way the thread was opened was an invitation to attack, though. I did find a few things I disagree with - humidity does not have to be 60-75 in veg. I'd rather have 60 than 40, but 40 is ok. I know because I have plants vegging and doing great in 40 right now. But I agree 20 is too low. Also, I think plants have a harvest window much wider than 2-7 days. In fact I think most growers err on the side of harvesting too early.

We should remember that there are lots of right answers and lots of opinions on everything we talk about here. If you are smart, you study all sides without taking sides, then choose a way for you. There is way too much juvenile "testing" of knowledge here. Taking sides and drawing lines and then enjoying a fight over it. This is a marketplace of ideas. Browse. If you don't like it, keep quiet and move on to the next display of ideas.

HELP!!!!

Iam at 9 weeks and am 11.11% amber
And am having mite problems!!!!

Small webs in leaves!!!
I got rid off all infested leaves
and sprayed water over the hole plant.

Iam so close to havest should i just chop
them all right now or keep washing them every night for the next week???

whoa 9 weeks and water on them? your asking for a mold attack. How many weeks is your strain? If your spraying anything it should be azamax. I had a problem with mites my first time. I found out at week 4 and got some azamax and a pump sprayer... Mites died after 4 sprays. I use neem for clones and veg.
Mites dont like the cold. My advice for you is to stop spray water on them and spray somthing that counts. If your going to use azamax or neem oil you shouldnt spray in the last two-three weeks. You shouldnt spray with anything unless you have to.. water included. You should spray with neem oil or something better. Let them go an extra week. So you have two weeks before chop chop. Avoid the buds tho. Get under the leafs and a little on the top of the leaves. Do it three times for one week and then stop. You take two sponges and clean the leaves with dish soap.
If you cant control them then just cut down.
You probly need more circulation in your room. Make it hard for mites to live. Its your own fault because you have to take precautions and start spraying in veg even if they dont have any mites on them. If you dont have a scope then the only way you know if you have an infestation is if they are webbing. That means they are far along.
Azamax is a 100$ for 16oz. It works great. I spray twice a week, every week untill week 6. Never had anymore problems.

This is my first grow, and the strain is White widow.
There at the end of week 8 and I thought for sure there were ready for harvest so I started flushing them one week ago. Well when I went to see them today i noticed they wanted to grow more so I don't know what I should do. cUT'EM DOWN NEST WEEK OR Is it worth leaving them cause I'll get way more weight? how much? The Tricomes are foggy and theres a few amber ones.

If you can wait this long you can wait longer. Do you have new clones ready to go in there?? Why would you cut down early if you dont have new plants to get in there"? rent?
You have a scope? Cut it down when 25 % turn amber and the rest milky.
Im thinking you should chop early because it gives you more of a heady high.
How bout this chop one down and get enough money to get new plants in there, right when you chop the rest.

OH I have 3 plants already in there and more ready to go in when there's room. I just wanted to get as much as I can with crop. So if I they wont give me more than a 1oz a week total for all 7 plants than is not worth me leaving them in there. Its my first time so I have no idea what to expect from these plants.
I never had one pest problem, until I picked up 70 clones of Kush from a guy last week and i just noticed they have Thirps and mites, so my veg area is infested I'm PISSED!!!

I cut one down last night after I posted this.

I think the last week is where the value comes in play. 70 should be good for two lights. I chop kush down 56 days 12/12.
I always start early on pests. i dont give them a chance to start. I spray my clones before they go in my room. ALways

so should I keep flushing or switch back to feeding them a few more times then flush ?

just give them plain water. If you feed the last week your weed wont burn as good.
Nuteless soil can be flushed easy.Allow a good run off. 10 days is a good flush. Aslong as you give them water more than once. With a runoff you will be fine.
