Terrible Advice!!

Dear Newbs, please do your own research aside from asking for advice. Just because someone is a well known member doesn’t always mean they’re knowledgeable about growing. I’ve seen people suggest drowning seedlings, claim you need a powerful light for a 4 day old seedling, and a host of other things that made no sense. Maybe we’re being infiltrated by anti weed activists, because it’s some sabotage going on.
Be careful.. you can become a well know member in a day if you leave enough comments, everyone isn’t truly here to help you. Facts

Great post ! Although I have never been lead down the wrong path on RIU ...I do see some crazy ass posts .but for the people who do share the true knowledge and exp thanks a bunch .


Been growing for almost 2 years with just over 2llb harvested and I love browsing this site for info and tips and tricks .

I have also seen some really far out there electrical advice posted on here and those people should be shot in the foot seriously I have been a contractor for 16 years (general contracting) and have a very very good understanding of electrical 120v/240v/3 phase ....do all my own work and customers but I would never ever sujjest anything but safety precautions .

Little off topic but the absolute best tool/device I have found for growing and grow rooms is an automated smoke detector with built in fire extinguisher these can be fitted into a 4 inch pot light hole everything is concealed in the ceiling these units cost around $140 canadian and they work great and will save your home and possibly people's lives .

Not affiliated with this company but they ship worldwide a few firemen started this company and it's just thriving posted the site just so people can see what exactly I am talking about .

Lights are a instant fight!! From the hps vs led argument to the your cheap blurple light is shit. People looking for a small personal grow are advised to buy 700$ + lighting and then told don’t waste their time if they can’t get a cob or qb... they don’t even know what qb means sometimes. Everybody wants to be an expert with one completed grow that probably had issues the whole time. Unbelievable

Ain’t that the truth I saw someone go from a new member to a well known member in 7 days lucky the info he was given out wasn’t that far off the mark imo

I just seen it done in 48 hours now they’re all over the place and unfortunately the advice isn’t that great.... it’s well... terrible

It is scary -I was lucky when I first joined seemed to get sound advise from great growers I did have couple of years experience and a few grows under my belt

I used to play a game where when people posted there plant problems
Or a deficiency I use to write down what I thought it was and the solution
Then wait for the gurus to reply with the answer
Learnt loads that way

Yes, and some take advantage knowing it’s a bit scary here at first. I’ve received great advice here but also some that I could have did without. I’m not saying all bad advice is intentional just that some people think they know it all and don’t. Ironically the ones who do know are the most humble. The ones who think they know are difficult and rude.

Well this is about the most unhelpful thread I have seen in a while. Instead of starting a thread to say, "Beware of advise" just give your own advise and let them sort it out. No knowledge in this thread, no laughs, no reason

Why don’t you start your own thread then? See that’s exactly what I mean.. here you come telling me what I should have done. Maybe you’re one of the ones who haven’t been around long giving out terrible advice and I’ve struck a nerve. Why are you here? Lol

Because somebody was crying about bad advise so I came to see if I could help, but there is no helping you. Next time start a thread titled, "Whiney Cunts" and I'll stay clear.

I seen this one shit on the news a couple weeks ago that made me sick
Some dude was drunk and drove his car over a bridge

And in the car they found a tape, but they didn't say who it was to

Comprehension is everything. I don’t need any help!! I was warning the newbs after reading bad tips on multiple threads. The title was an attention grab.. apparently you failed to understand that because you obviously didn’t read the first post. I’m also a woman, so find another name and you won’t be missed.
