I did this before I started growing anything. You might need to wait until you've finished a grow and are cleaning the tent for the next one.

I slipped 1/2-inch PVC "tees" over the tent rods. 4 each on the back verticals and 3 each on the front verticals.
That allows me to have 2 horizontal rods across the back, one one each side and one on the front. I can also put
2 horizontals diagonally across the tent (making an X).
For my 4x4 tent, my pipe length was 45-5/8-inch long and fit perfectly between the verticals. (Yours may be slightly different... measure.)
I keep the tees from sliding by wrapping some wadded-up plastic cling wrap several times around the rod and jamming the
tee onto the cling wrap. This keeps the pipes in place, but adjustable.
I have not tested load limits yet.
What do you think? Worth a couple of reps+ ???
