Sooo,"with specs" can mean alot of different things to alot of different people (Essentially: fuck me if I'm falling short) let me know and I'll track down whatever info you need to give your opinion.
I've got a single post on RIU, so my only way to build any cred as a horticulturist is to try and grow something. To that end, away I go!
*Figured it ought worth mentioning that I "Holy shit!, Motherfuck!, Hell Yeah!, Fuckin' A!" appreciate ANY and ALL constructive criticism, or intel learned from your grows. If you just wanna blow your hate load on some random guy on the internet, I respectfully request you troll, err, go, elsewhere. I've seen my share and don't oblige.
I have set up an Apollo 36x20x5ft tent. Light should arrive tomorrow (Viparspectra 300w). I will get another before flower.
I have a DIY germ/seedling box I created out of an old mini fridge. Has a 140x140 axial fan and CFL.... You know what? Screw it. It works. Perhaps some issues with the planned fem seeds, but that's between me and the Co ordered from. I do have a couple of Soul Breeders Silver Widow that have spouted and have first set of true leaves, so that's what I'm going with. Praying they're girls.
I'm growing DWC because it's been fun to grow tomatoes and a few other things with. I am using GH for nutes (same reason). I've no reason to doubt my buckets, lines, pump, manifold, or clay pellets, since they've worked in the past, albeit not with this type of plant. If I'm wrong,please tell me.
My grow is in an attached garage in the midwest (read:cold). My DIY germ box/fridge is in the same space, yet the design allows it to maintain temp pretty well (I only use my homemade "day or "night" settings dependent upon the amount of solar heat we get. I've little doubt in my ability to "figure it out" if the temps become an issue. Afterall, we either sort it out or fail, right?
I have 2 6in fans in the tent for air circ/plant strengthening. I also have a very small ceramic heater with fan plugged in to a temp controller to maintain heat in this weather, that is doing a bang up job after 2 days of just having water only running full time. I built a DIY carbon filter (6in diameter x 24in length) in the tent. It sucks through 4ft of tube and out through a flange tied to a pet door out of the garage (silliest place to put a door ever, but is hella good for my purposes). The extraction fan is rated @ 400cfm, and I have it on a controller in case it needs to be slowed.
So that's where I am. Likely forgetting a detail or so, but I'm happy to provide them if you would like. If i'm missing anything that you can recollect, I'd appreciate you telling me what it is and why I need it. Iv'e learned with other plant to be patient and wait until they start telling me they want something, so plan to do the same here.
It's been a "Press on" last 48hrs with school/family/setup. I'm on about 6hrs total,so I'm gonna catch some rack time for now. I'll be up in about 6-8, and will check in soon after.
