Temp in my grow room

Now that I have 9 plants under a 400w high output hps the temps in my grow room are 95f with humdity at 40%.. at night the temp drops to 75f with humidity at 30%..is the 95f something i need to look into? I leave the door flap of my room open a little during the day with a little fan blowing into it to circulate air

here is one of my girls..not real clear but, you can see the flowers

You need to exhaust that heat cause your losing yields there buddy .

options

leave door open as much as poss. with a fan pushing in cool air from house and another fan at top of door to push hot air out
buy a exhaust fan
buy a/c unit $99 Walmart
Buy air cooled hood/exhaust fan with ducts

air cooled reflector with exhaust fan

Thanks alot for all the good advice so far. I have a ac in the room that I share with plants as bedroom but, its still not cool enough. Gonna try some of the ideas so far and see what happens. Its a growing experience and I love trying new things.

I upgraded to 400w and so far i've spent around $200.00 in an effort to cool my flowering closet.
Basically a new inline fan, ducting, and clamps. It's not perfect yet but has cooled both
the closet itself, and the temps under the canopy. I'm still as hot as 91F without the a/c
keeping the house temps at 70F. 86-88f with a/c set to 70F ambient house temp.
I'm looking into either a cooltube, or somehow using the tempered glass from my old 250w hood
for further heat reduction.
Right now exhaust ducting sits close to the bulb and sucks hot air through the fan (170cfm)
and extracts out the back side of the closet. Roughly 16 feet of ducting. I plan on adding a carbon filter
next week on the extraction side before the air exits the closet. I leave the door open during lights on (5:20pm-5:20am)
for passive air intake. I may cut a 4" hole on the left wall for passive intake nearer the plants/lights. I also have 2-4"
fans above the canopy, below the light circulating air above the plants, as well as a larger honeywell vortex type fan
blowing air from the open door toward the plant tops.
I was given the 400w last time i picked up cuttings so it wasn't a planned thing for my flowering space. I never needed any more
than the 3 fans and the door open with my 250w to keep things at 80F under the canopy. Still warm but net weights
were more than i could use between harvests. With a few more adjustments i'd like to get to around 82-85F. I
think those temps i can work with.
Good luck

I am gonna try running the light at night to see what happens, hopefully it will take care of itself. Gonna keep a close eye on them for next few days

You are gonna have to look into cooling as you cannot keep that door open during the lights off period.

You could shut the door during lights off but are you gonna be home to be able to do so?

My opinion is get yourself a decent inline exhaust fan and create some passive intakes. Exhaust your heat away from your grow and pull cooler ambient air into the room through the passive intakes. If you position your inline fan at the furthest point away from your passive intake then you should get good airflow through your room.

after a whole day under the lights, I brought the temp down to 85 during day with room door open. 75 degrees at night with lights off and door flap closed..so far so good

And humidity has been between 30 to 41% on both day and night

im growing with a 400w hps and its in a cupboard so the heat is a bitch to controle i leave the door open 24/7 if i close it up the heat goes up to 40*c when the door is open it goes down to 30*c avg this is a bit of a bitch to control but im getting there going to look for a small desk fan to put in there my baby's loving the light tho my humid is between 10 and 25% and the grow is grate using a home made way of co2 aswhell and everything fine the only advice i have leave that door open all the time and the grow will look good hope to c some pics of your grow soon

Well after three days, my temp during lights on has stayed around 85f-88f, which is alot better than the high 90's. One quick thought...if its ok to run lights 18/6 during vegging, is it possible (without killing them) to have a 18 hr dark and 6 light?
