temp and humidity ques...

so i know by reading the faqs and other peoples questions that the ideal temp averages to be 70-75*F and that the humidity should be between 50%-65%. However, my grow room humidity varies between 48%-60% throughout the day, but my temp will stay between 85*F-90*F. my question is does anyone think that i will be ok without having to go and buy a $100 a/c window unit? I am currently using a Holmes twin-window fan that i got at wally world for 10 bucks.(marked way down!) My humidity seems to be fine but I don't want to stress my plants into not growing...or worse, stress them into males....

when it gets to hot your plants will stop growing due to heat stress.......a good sign of heat stress is when the leaf fringes stand up....how is your ventilation set up....are you venting the stale air and bringing in fresh?.....do you have a fan on your lights?these are things that will help your temps and air quality....plants need good fresh air and even stable temps.........85-90 isnt drastic......but 75-78 would be awesome.......

thanks for the reply nick...we have a twin-blade window fan on high for exhaust and a 20" fan on medium speed for our lights and plants. i have the a/c on constantly throughout the day, but my grow area won't drop below 83*F. what should the resivoir temperature be at? here are some pics...

first 2 are my bonsai looking plants, the next 1 is my 3'x3' grow area, and the last is the twin-blade fan used for exhaust. notice the watermelon plant in the mix...lol

the exhaust isnt going to be working the way it should if you have the boxspring blocking the way...i would put more fans in the area and have a small one blowing a stream between the lights and the plants......

i've thought about that too with the boxsprings, i just thought that the air in the entire room was circulating anyway, so i belived that it didn't matter much...i could try moving it during the day, then just putting it back at night...also, i have that stand-up fan right in front of the system and with the range that it blows, the entire area is constantly under breeze...should i have it blowing from the left?...towards the exhaust fans??

ok well im stoney and just wanna give u sum idea's that are what i think perhaps are quite inexpensive and a great investment for your babies=).
Grabbing sum pvc pipe's at home-depot,and sum fitting's to make your box.
Then look for a material called panda-film u can find this at your local hydrostore,or order it online pritty inexpensive and light proof.
for the door get a velcro zip-tarp so u have a zipper room.
u could also grab a 4inch or 6inch inline fan at home-depot for 26bucks which would be alot better for exhaust.
and maybe grab a clip fan at wal-mart for 9bucks for circulationg.
or pc fan's
hope this helped, and just sum idea's so yea cya =)
