What is everyones experience with feminized seeds? I wanna here results, the good and the bad!

Particular strain preference for fem seeds?

Ive gone through about 20 feminized strains at this point (mostly freebies) and I have liked them. I think the strains I have grown have been fair representations of the strains. I have never once had a feminized seed hermie.

On the other hand, I still prefer regular seeds because I like the variables. I see a much wider variety of phenos from regular seeds.

horror stories shouldn't keep you from experimenting with feminised seeds. they are useful for growing females, but when it comes to breeding, you are only able to get half of the spectrum. i like making hybrids with almost anything i get for free or otherwise and its tough to get a good male.

Ok..so will a fem seed not be as potent just holding "half the spectrum?

no potency is a genetic trait, and that is passed along regardless of how you breed. and im saying half the spectrum because you can end up with herm genetics in females and i've yet to pass along herm traits from a male onto my hybrids, but that may just be luck.

Ok. any other opinions?

i prefer reg seed. that being said, some strains are clone only, and some strains you wont get a cut if you dont know the right people. so i can appreciate the breeders that use the process to make elite clones available in seed form to the public.

but i would never choose fem over reg if i had the option.
