Techs for hardening buds

i look forward to your next grow and some pictures. i can picture it in my head, but it would be cool to see the real deal.

So do you guys who lst find it takes a lot more room per plant to do this way since your stretching the diameter out wider by pulling the branches down and moving them out? I never really did much list as room is always been a premium so I usually only top,fiem,supercrop or lollipop plants for upaward growth and less outward growth.

Yeah i really like LST because if you like to take cuttings LST makes for a great mother. Slower veg time, more concentrated hormones in the branch make for faster rooting. I think LST is a great way to commercially grow. I love to see the bottom buds growing like pine cones straight up in the air when the stalk is bent almost towards the floor. It def takes up space, thats why i say, get some good genetics, LST and take cuttings, you will yield more off one plant overtime then if you did 1-2 4 plant grows.

i think i may lst half of my plants and compare them. i ran out of time last night. i wanted to start one and post pics to see what you thought about it and if my tech was right. ill try again tonight.

I LST'd once.... and one plant hogged the space 2 plants could have taken. The yield would have been better to just grow 2 plants in that space and lollipop them. In that case LST wasnt a good decision.

I do have a BB that for some reason stretches like crazy in flower. I like the smoke but not how it grows. So LST may be the only way I could grow/keep it. I tried topping.....That just made multiple tops grow too tall.

Is lollipoing taking the main colas off and turning them into clones?

osmosis water, colder night conditions, make sure its super dark,mycro fungi,cooled lights (to get closer), molasses, and proper super bloom fertilizer to finish off.

Lollipopping is cutting awqay the lower 1/3 of growth from a plant so all the little stuff down low that doesnt grow or get lights doesnt such food away from the main tops so its like a naked stalk for the lower part of the plant then the middle on up gets the benefits and you have bigger fatter colas and better air flow under theplants which makes better yields

yep, this definitely helps harden buds too. i was going to put this in but i got side tracked... lollipopping= danker buds

Hey I know you know what your talking about... I have read your grow journals..
I keep it organic and I also use a none organic ebb n flow 2 4x4 trays. Alright my bud from using the ebb n flow trays and 2 600 watt hps, is bigger and yeild is overall better, but the buds weigh less for the size...using house of garden nutes from holland..

I also use in one garden A 400 watt Fafard 3B soilless mix with a little extra nitroform which is the only non-organic thing I use and thats iffy... But fox farm nutes in flower with molassaes and fish shit for grow... I use clf for veg then switch to 400 hps for the first month of flower then back to clfs for the last month using a simple scrog.. THE yeild was about 2 oz per plant smaller but heavier and harder buds, that smokes great!

But then outside I stuck plants that I started in jan then stuck them outside in spring are massive my weather is perfect they are flowering huge but still growing taller and taller in spring!!!! they are now sixty days in to flower but only half way done.... I Dont know how this happened but I figure that they were getting 18 hours of light and switch them 13.5 when they went under the sun. So i decide to try the sog outside and it works great I havent clipped any of these yet but I am for sure that the buds will be both harder and bigger!

LST alone or SOG or Scrog or Lolipopping alone will not dense up Your Colas. The best sucess I have had is with Gravity and Snow Storm for a sugary Colas. But Gravity has worked the best of everything I've tried. It sounds like You have tried it as well. Not Happy with the results? Has anything worked better than Gravity for You? I grow Areoponics

Its pretty basic and no big secret but good airflow is very important for this. keeps humidity down and allows the plants to naturally get a little more co2 which is really what creates dense, hard buds. Also proper drying and curing will go a long way for this pursuit. LST is very valuable. I personally like using the elastic web because I am growing in a tent and its easy to use in that scenario... good luck homie
