I will never leave CA, unless the global warming moves me to Washington..
San luis Obispo, long beach, ventura, santa cruz, Monterey, big sur, etc, etc.
It's amazing here...
Now... if only we could get rid of about 10 million people or so...
What are your thoughts on the Anaheim area? How does it compare to other parts of the state that you're fond of?

not so fun with the state taxes, and bullshit laws/permits required to do damn near ANYTHING...
but yeah, it's beautiful.
For now.
Hate to say it but in 20 yrs or so it may not be.
very true but till it all falls apart ill be here lol maybe when shit hits the fan ill just go to Denver I heard from close buddies its very nice to live out there but weed scene is different from here I guess still don't quite understand how it works over there but I'm stoned when I read about it so its probably my fault lol ✌

ugh... Anaheim?
Yuck. sorry man...
My girlfriend lives in santa ana/Tustin area so I go through Anaheim often.
It's not what i'd call CA, at least for beauty, if you like asphalt, super hot temps, air pollution and stop and go traffic....
Disneyland is there... that's all.
And L.A. is good for the nightlife, but ya gotta pay cover charges... and the women tend to be a lil different than what I am used to up here in NorCal. Plastic... lots of makeup...
Honestly it's like a different state.
Near that though there are many beautiful areas, Huntington beach, ventura, santa Barbara, san luis Obispo (kinda near)...
if you are planning to visit I can PM you with some "must-see areas"

OK, good to know. The reason I'm asking is that Anaheim is my only Cali experience, and I really didn't like it. Everything seemed so plastic and fake.... including the people. I signed a contract there and spent a few months before I had to hang the skates up, but it gave me a bad impression of the state. I always here people talking about how much they love living out there, and I figured that the Anaheim area must not be a good representation of the state as a whole.

ahhhh I see...
Yeah.
Don't judge CA from Anaheim...
glad you asked, I honestly think CA is the best state... has everything.
Deserts, beaches, mountains, lakes, giant redwoods foothills, pro sports teams, fishing, hunting, (growing)....
Best fruit is grown here... veggies too...
surfing, ocean fishing, SAN FRANCISCO (one of my fav places)
Humboldt county... If you wanna see some scary-ass huge great white sharks or elephant seals go to Ano Nuevo...
Up north by Oregon has some beautiful rain-forests..
Geez... sound like a traveling agent huh

I live not too far from the orange county area and here and LA aren't the worst but northern California is nothing like the polluted city rudeness so check it out man you'll probably like it

My trip to San Francisco was amazing. We stayed in the tenderloin (3 white guys 21 years old) though we didn't know what it was at that time. Homeless guy tried to rob me of a cheeseburger at 3 am, I pulled a fork on his ass. Lol. Got some herb from sparkx, it was garbage. Finally made it to organicann and another shop in Santa Rosa that had the firrrrre. Saw some 10ft wide 10 ft tall outdoor plants. Smoke on top of a mountain off a fire access road. And went to the beach all in the same day. Good times.

how is it in Santa Cruz?? my buddies been bouncing from there to SF to Humboldt might check it out myself after this grow :)
I love it. Depends on what your into. Their is alot of awesome hiking and mtb trails to check out. Plus the beaches are really nice. Capitola village has some nice restraunts and bars that are on the beach. The santa cruz warf is something people like to check out as well. I personally tend to stay in the mountains, away from the city areas.

yep born and raised in Santa Cruz. Now about that shop?
its the garden shop in ben Lomond.
Has everything you could want and more, there's one guy there that knows his stuff, he actually knew WTF I was talking about.
horsetail, comfrey, nitrogen fixing legumes, everything organic you can imagine, karanja meal(yea) insect frass, all the obscure things.
Plus they sell by the lb on a lot of nutrients, that's cool as hell.
Hell they even have a handwritten sign advising customers to NOT follow the manufacturers feeding dosages for bottled stuff.
It's a feed store as well so they have dogfood, reg feed like hay and alfalfa.
that ignoring the fact that their reg plants are awesome, they sell all kinds of berries, fruit and avocado trees..
Cool place though.
And the drive up is pretty too. Up hwy 9 through the redwoods, and you can hit up the ben Lomond market too, they have KILLER deli sandwiches...
If you ever wanna hang out or need any car advice i'd be down to meet any fellow local organic guys.

Hell yeah bro that shop sounds legit for sure, i am gonna have to check that out. I have a couple good organic garden sources in aptos and soquel but they are lacking a few things that i would like to add to my list. Are you talking about Mesudes deli before Glenn Arbor on the right? That place has a MEAN tri tip sandwich.

no, they are good too, but the ben Lomond market is the shit.
I have been to pretty much everywhere in this county and the garden shop in BL is the best by far.
I moved here back in 96, and lived in SC for yrs, then Aptos, now I am in Boulder Creek (love it out there)
the Garden Store on the westside (s.c.), waaay on the westside, on mission all the way at the safeway, they are good too, but not even close to the ben Lomond one.

hit up the market and ask for the mountain man sandwich, it's sliced BBQed tritip, onionrings, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese...
Fuck....
it's lunchtime...
Drooolllll
Or their calfiornia club, or their mountain man burger, which is the same as the tritip only a burger, and they make their own hamburger too, so your hamburger isn't made with feces and the meat of a thousand cows...
(ever read the book, fast food nation?)
