No, I was referring to the fact that the Tea Party is no longer the Ron Paul crowd as it originated. Ron Paul isn't even mentioned in the article. Bachmann and Perry are. The point of the article is since the Tea Party was hi-jacked by Religious White Bush supporters the perception of the Tea Party has plummeted.

This article isn't about RP or his supporters. It's about the Party being taken over by irresponsible religious fanatics and thus ending the Party as it was. I keep telling you RP people, you're biggest problem is within your own Party.

Very much so, basically bachman created the tea party caucus in a blatant steam stealing move, this combined with the tea party position on illegal immigration has allowed the movement to be dismissed as a bunch of religious fanatics, I am simply tired of hearing broad generalizations that dismiss the biggest political push of the masses in several decades as something evil. This is why we need to transcend parties and stick to reducing federal oversight of state issues, like health care, mmj, etc. and wuite spending all of our money smashing and then rebuilding foreign countries.

Maybe so, but he admits that the Tea Party are hostage takers. So people call them hostage takers. They admit that they are.
what about obama telling us that unless we give him all the spending money he wants the world will end? that sounds like a hostage taker to me.

Tea party people don't think they are taking hostages. Scared politicians call them that to try and diminish the tea party's message. Did they pull a gun on anyone? No they stood in the way of the government machine to try and prevent the destruction of America's future but in the end the machine rolled right over them.

Then talk to the Bush supporters who hijacked your party and turned it into a bunch of kicking and screaming cry babies. That's what this article is all about.

thats just it, a few people have dilluted the ideals of the movement by stealing its thunder and pushing their own ideals, but there are plenty of Tea Party Libertarians left like myself to negate those bastards, The problem i have is when you start dismissing us as a bunch of kicking and screaming cry babies you are fighting against the only group that stands for kicking the federal government out of state issues LIKE MEDICAL MARIJUANA,

IF YOU WANT YOUR STATE MARIJUANA LAW TO BE THE FINAL SAY IN WHETHER POT IS LEGAL, VOTE RON PAUL

Not sure, but today's Tea Party sure doesn't support Ron Paul. That party is over. As the article explains.

You seem to be defending RP when you should really be directing angst towards the Bush Republicans that came along a stole your identity and Party out from underneath your feat.

those idiots do enough damage to themselves, What i think is rally going to win Ron Paul this election is the media blackout, and that more and more people are realizing that the media is intentionally ignoring the only "real" candidate, as all the others arent actually people, if you look closely bachman, perry and obama all hang from the same puppet strings.

I don't think it's the Bush republicans who are trying to claim the tea party it's more the religious right. Hell look at Bachman she's talking about all kinds of crazy shit. She supports a small government
in regards to spending but supports a government that tries to regulate morality. If she gets the nomination I guess I'll vote for the libertarian candidate because honestly I think we'd be fucked either way.

Our analysis casts doubt on the Tea Party’s “origin story.” Early on, Tea Partiers were often described as nonpartisan political neophytes. Actually, the Tea Party’s supporters today were highly partisan Republicans long before the Tea Party was born, and were more likely than others to have contacted government officials. In fact, past Republican affiliation is the single strongest predictor of Tea Party support today.

Next to being a Republican,
the strongest predictor of being a Tea Party supporter today was a desire, back in 2006, to see religion play a prominent role in politics.

Why don't you stop calling him ignorant and produce some facts instead of emotional rhetoric. Obama has added more debt than all the Presidents from washington through Reagan. Obama promised us that the Health Care Bill would not raise taxes and now he is whining because he couldn't get taxes raised. When you pass massive costly legislation, you still have to pay for it. Everything has a price no matter who you are in debt to. Socialism is fine until the money runs out, then you yell "tax the rich", then when they have moved to another country like they did in Britain, you are left holding the bag. Sounds nice, but it's not reality.
I did produce facts. Ironically you overlooked some of them in the very post you quoted when you chimed in on this argument. Obama has NOT added more debt than all the presidents from Washington through Reagan, that is absolute nonsense. Prove it! The Bush administration funded its war on terror by dipping into our Social Security. Now the democrats want to pay that debt back and the teabaggers won't have it! I know you have probably never had a job, or paid into SS, so this probably doesn't upset you much.

As far as "taxing the rich" goes, taxes were MUCH higher for EVERYONE under Nixon, Reagan and BOTH Bushes than they are presently with Obama. And THAT is common knowledge! Google it if you don't believe me!
