Tangled roots and a dead plant ?

Hey guys,I have 3 plants in a tote(dwc) scrog.I had an accident and had to chop one but,I'm in week 3 of flower the root ball is massive! Anybody been through this? The roots are starting to rot and make the solution look shitty I assume having rotted roots in the same container will eventually kill the rest?
Thanks for any info,
Dux.

If I had that much time in to it and the other two are doing ok I would either use bennies and change the res often and hope for the best or try carefully to separate the roots but that is hard to do without causing damage to the other two plants. either way I'd ride it out.

this is why i grow 1 plant per bucket/tote.

i have seen few growers pull it off having 2 to 4 plants per bucket..maybe most of the successful ones don't post it on RIU..i dunno..i prefer the KISS method.

I've never had a problem with 3 before but this time (Murphy's law) I have Jackhammer(Sannies) and she takes her time during flower,10 weeks or so:cry: .but I do hear what you're saying dtischerd, there was a lil learning curve about veg times a cramming too much into one tub..

if i were to do a couple plants in the same bucket i would keep them all the same strain..makes it a bit easier with nutes and all.

In the long run it would be much better to get the roots seperated. They will recover but it may add a week or so to flower time but worth it. And add a good benificial like pondzyme or greatwhite and aquashield.
