Hey Folks,

This is Tangerine Kush X Canntonic-Perkins Cut (fems) and hopefully they will have a high CBD content as well as a high THC content.

I started them in 4 inch pots and have transplanted one of them into a 5 gallon pot and will be transplanting the other later today.

I will be using....
Promix soil
Jacks Classic Nutrients
250 watts MH in veg and they will be sharing 1800 watts in flower.

Here they are......

Plant 1...

Plant 2- not yet transplanted...

Huge thanks to Dr Gruber for taking the time to journal this grow. The plants are looking beautiful and healthy!

subbed.
Just got done taking Tangerine Kush cuttings. Love that strain.
Is that Tangerine Kush from Rare Dankness?
I love Tangerine Kush too! Yes, it is from Rare Dankness. Even more specifically its a selected pheno by our friend at the Garden Club who represents Michigan for Rare Dankness, when i received the clone it was labeled "Tangerine Kush #10". Its grows like an OG and has a great sweet tangerine smell. I lab tested her at 18.89% THC, 0.59% CBD, and 20.36% total cannabinoids. I had an extra clone that i have no use for so i decided to hit it with some colloidal silver to reverse it and made some pollen, i hit my Cannatonic - Perkins cut with that pollen and... this is history in the making!

For those unfamiliar with Cannatonic - Perkins Cut, its a ultra CBD rich pheno of Cannatonic from Resin Seeds. I have been growing, testing and sharing cuts of this plant freely for a couple years which is how my name got attached to this pheno. I take no credit for creating it, just sharing it freely with people in need. In my opinion, people that need CBD should not have to pay to obtain the genetics to produce their own medicine, and on top of that it should be easy to obtain which is why i share it freely. The best it has tested so far is 0.92% THC, 17.73% CBD, and 20.36% total cannabinoids.

17.73 cbd is nice. I have been hearing a lot about cannatonic never tried it.

Very nice, frosting up already! I can see traits of both parents, it has the plant structure of the Tangerine Kush and the flower sites are forming like the Cannatonic. Both strains like to really pack on mass late in flowering.

Can you tell me a bit about the cannatonic? Is it known to be a large or small producer?
And, I believe you said it finishes in 9-10 weeks?

The Cannatonic yields well, it displays all the classic sativa traits, big fluffy buds that are very greasy with terpenes (yes greasy, not sticky like most strains), horizontal branching like a pine tree (your P#2 seems to be displaying this structure in your pics from 12/15). Yes, both strains around 9-10 weeks.

So, i had a Cannatonic #4 just finish and its dry now. I sampled some last night I have to say the flavor is terrible. It smells wonderful, like a tangerine or orange, but it tastes like parsley. Straight up like Im smoking a bowl of tabouli. I had to fire up another joint to get the flavor out of my mouth. Ughhhh.

Eager for the next update Doctor!
Here you go. Sorry for the delay. I wont bore you with the details but Ive been overwhelmed with daily crap.

Plant #1 at 40 days....
It got a little nitrogen deficient so i hit it with a heavier dose and burned the tips. Next time i will know it wants more "N" earlier in the grow.

Plant #2 at 34 days

On another note, I had the Cannatonic #4 tested and it came out at .....

9THC- .72%
8THC- .21%
CBD- 11.31

Do those numbers seem about right to you? Good-Bad?

I don't know what it is about this thread but it takes forever and a day to load and usually ends up freezing up my old ass computer...

The plants look great, they're frosting up nicely! Assuming they will take after their mother strains, they should pack on most of their weight in the last few weeks of flowering. Hows the smell so far? I'm already excited about the next update lol!

As for the #4, i have never grown the #4 but i have two friends who have. One of them pulled off an immaculate grow and only tested in the high 10% CBD range while the other had a pretty rough time with his grow and had some pretty beat up looking plants but tested 14% CBD. Going over all the results on Iron Labs website it seems that #4 ranges anywhere from 8%-15% CBD, with the majority being in the 10%-14% range. Looks like 11.31% seems to be fairly average, good for a first run!
