Very Nice kbz im doing some tangerines now too but mine are only 28 days old. I was wondering did you run this plant indoors? and was that 14 weeks of flowering time or total time?

Truly awsome Colas you got there, rep headed ur way!

thanx man, i ran it indoors under a 600 in soil. I wish it was a total of 14 weeks but no almost 14 weeks in flower. It got stunted for a couple weeks though, without that it would of finished in probubly 11 or 12 maybe. I got a clone off that one which is at 8 weeks flower now and is filling out quicker and the buds are denser than its mom. Im hopin for 11 weeks on that one. Good luck man, if you haven't smoked it yet its fucking strong and smells awsome. Crystals are huge and all over.

Got a couple grams of good dry ice bubble hash and ended up with a dry weight without stems of 107 gr. Almost a qp. Really happy with this plant even though it was a pain in the ass sometimes.

The biggest cola was 19 grams and wouldn't fit in these tall mason jars. I was sad when I had to chop it down some.

KB that very nice. I see you made Dry Ice Hash. I did last time and was please with it, however, I did shake a little to hard and got to much green with it. It gets the leaf so cold it breaks up easy. I'm going to try it again in a few weeks. I've not found a lot information on peoples experience's in DIH. I have 5 gallon bags but I think 1 gallon would be nice for it, smaller batch, less ice.
So that said what are your experiences with DIH?

I think I had the same problem. Almost my hole batch was a little on the dark side. And I noticed at the end it was almost all plant matter. I've seen a lot of people use a smaller one too and it looks like it might work better. I think i'm ganna try it again with the 5gallon but crush the ice up into small pieces and shake a lot softer. Still pretty descent hash even with the leaves though. Let me know how that smaller one goes.

Looks good and could be a good sativa smoke nice job.
May I suggest that you don't let trim get 2 dry when making DIH so trich's freeze off instead of a lot of leaf matter.

I trim green and freeze right away so it not because I have dry matter. I've only done it once but I had the same experience as kbz, "I noticed at the end it was almost all plant matter." I going to use less dry ice, smaller pieces, shake softer and less time.
I did get a few really clean grams in the first shake, as good as any has I ever had. It is fast, cheap, safe and clean. I try it til I get it right. Any suggestions would be great.

I have bubble bags and I used the 25 micron bag when I did the dry ice method and the kief was blonde when I finished and hardly any plant matter at all. After I get my pile of kief I put it in between some paper take a glass and roll it to compress it into a piece of hash sorta'. After that I take the clear plastic from a pack of cigarettes and put the sorta' hash in it wrap it up and then put it in white paper that doesn't have bleach in it and has been soaking in water to get it wet. I shake off the excess moisture, put the clear cigarette wrapper in the white paper, wrap it up and I tie mine closed and then put it in a 150 degree oven for ten minutes. Take it out, let it cool and unwrap your package. The dry blonde kief has now with the help of the low heat turned into a dark brown almost black piece of moist gooey hash.

Would you have a picture to share with that? That really sounds nice.
So you used the 25 micron only? I just watched a video http://www.cannabisdynamics.com/2011/09/22/dry-ice-keifing-101/ they use the 220 micron. Big difference.

kbz- I've had the same problem with my bud as you- I ran into heat problems (it was a closet grow)- my bud looked exactly the same.

Tell me:
1) What was the ambient room temp during flowering?
2) How often did you test for pH and adjust accordingly?

I have two Tangerine Dreams under 1125W HPS now in 7 gallon containers with Subcool's supersoil recipe @ 92 days (13.1 weeks) 12/12. Temps now averaging around 71F to 77F with an average RH of 35%. They were vegged for 6 weeks under 225W T5s and 2 weeks under 1000W HPS (metal halide bulb blew out). This was supposed to be a 70 day strain. LOL Barney's Farm, I think, was fibbing a little bit. At first I didn't know what to think because these 2 TD specimens were EXTREMELY SLOW in flowering and BF said 70 days; I was getting nervous. I did read that a lot of people are reporting slow flowering. No light leaks now, but about 1.5 months ago, I placed duct tape over the surge protector switch light; didn't know if the uncovered switch lights slowed it down at all. During the 12hr dark period I really didn't notice much light projection from the switches, but even so I decided to cover them.

I feel that TD is a nutrient hog. One of the plants looked like it was gonna die... about 80% yelow/green shade leaves and 10% browning/dead. About 2 weeks ago I added some organic blood meal, organic fishbone meal, organic bat guano, azomite and dolomite and both plants perked up. I was surprised as I thought the supersoil would last the whole cycle. Now giving them some Bud Candy every once in a while with some Demerara sugar. These plants have mammouth stalks and are super strong. They were topped 4 times and I still had to bend the colas down and right now they're at 5 feet with the bend. One plant smells very hazy with no fruit overtones and the other has a really nice tangelo-tangerine-orange scent; fairly frosty, but not overly impressive thus far. These plants reak really bad, imo. lol Not skunky, but something else reminiscent of wintergreen-flavored chew tobacco inside the grow space. LOL BUT, the individual colas don't have that smell up close???

The flowers looked just like kbz's... very fluffy, not dense and the calyxes are tiny-tiny, but starting to fill out and swell just a little. The trichomes are mostly clear with a tad of cloudiness. But I did see an unusually high proportion of immature trichomes with little or no heads. I still think they have at least 2 to 3 weeks to go yet. I finally resigned myself to the idea that these are almost pure sativa in genetics. Hey where's the G13? LOL It looks like these two ladies inherited the Neville's Haze flowering time and I'm ok with that, because I love sativas. Right now there's only two full-plants in the room, the rest (The Purps, 2 X Vortex, 2 X Super Lemon Haze and 1 GHS Trainwreck) already harvested, dried and curing in jars with 65% Boveda Humidipaks.

I'm really looking forward to the TDs. I have small sample buds drying on top of the cloning light right now. Can't wait to try...

For the first few weeks it was super hot around low 90's with lights on and the humidity was in the low 60's upper 50's. After I loaded the room with fans and punched a hole or two it came down into the mid 80's and the humidity came down to the mid 50's. Its last few weeks were at good temps mid 70's 40 rh. My ph was a little high in the begining of flower too. I have a clone of it going now which has been in good conditions and the colas are a lot thicker and tighter, also a lot more trich cover this time. Its lookin a lot better than its mom.

Had the same heat problems during veg and a little bit during flowering. Even had a couple days of 105deg temps outside. Inside during veg they were 85F to 90F, despite tons of air circulation and good exhaust... Almost bought a portable AC. :( Discovered Protekt about 3 weeks into the heat stress. That seemed to help a lot.

I did hear that some sativas go through a second flowering cycle and noticed a couple buds with NEW baby-white pistils and I'm at Day 92. LOL Anybody else experience this with TD or any other sativa or sativa-dominant?

maybe I got unlucky with mine but I am not a big fan of TD, overhyped like someone said. I don't like the bud structure, and it takes FOREVER to mature, I have a small TD clone going almost thinking of killing it to give room to a more efficient plant...

Extremely disappointing strain in my opinion. My buddy grew one out and it never seemed to finish and he's growing another now. I'll drop in again to let you know how it turns out.

You have to be very patient with TD. Barney's says 70 days flowering, but I grew two out. One of them was ready at day 122 and the other at day 134 of 12/12. But on the positive side, it was a heavy yielder. Dried/cured got 6oz on day 122 and 7oz on day 134. Definitely leaning towards Neville's Haze with regards to finishing time.
