I googled this ....

The most likely thing is the power supply is failing.
emachines systems have a reputation of using el-cheapo power supplies in their systems that tend to malfunction and fail a lot more often than average, and when they DO fail, they are a lot more likely than average to damage something else while failing, often the mboard. This is especially likely if the make of the PS is BESTEC.
If you DO have a BESTEC PS I recommend you DO NOT continue using it until it quits completely, because if it dies there's a strong possibility it will damage your mboard.
There was a successful class action suit against emachines in the US not all that long ago regarding problems mostly caused by those el-cheapo power supplies! Failing power supplies are common and can cause your symptoms.
Check your PS.
They often partially work, fans and hard drives may spin, leds may come on, yet you get no video and the mboard will not boot all the way.

hope this helps - when ever I have a failure , I google the systems I experience , good luck

I would disagree with the above diagnosis.

Have you tried multiple monitors, or tried your test monitor on another PC to ensure the monitor is not the issue?

If so, my first guess would be your video card is fried out. Replacements can be had for cheap if you don't need a beefed up card for video games etc. Probably somewhere around 50 bucks. They are very easy to install, especially if you are replacing and old one. They slide into a slot. Just slide the old one out and slide the new one in. Make sure you buy a video card with the same type of slot your old one used.

Thanks for in put too.bad i didmt think of off.and on. Sarcasmyeah we tried multiple monitors. Worse case ill drop itvoff somewhere.

Well, you commented about not sending signals which leads me to believe it is booting properly. But first verify it is properly booting: Turn it on and listen very closely for hard drive activity, it will sound like clicking. The cd-rom should also blink a few times and eject when you press the button. If it does you probably blew out your GPU (not uncommon) an easy fix is to buy a PCI VGA adaptor.

Disconnect all wires, Put your left hand on the power supply, and plug the PCI card into the PCB board. Once you reboot that VGA port will work in a mirrored mode. As an end-user, it works. As a professional, one should disable or remove the old adaptor.

If you do not hear clicking, it is time to throw down 300$ for a new PC or splurge for the Mac.

Yeah it ended up being the video card. I got a 1 gb card in here now , so I will be putting up the picks from harvest and such today. The wow factor left us on plant number 6 . I had 8 people over here, 6 stayed the whole time . It took us 14 hrs to cut up 12 plants. Needless to say Im buying the samuria trimmer, For hopefully the next one most likely the harvest after.
