taking her down tomorrow

So this little girl right here is my favorite plant out of my three...i have 2 bushes a few days behind her...i left this clone alone and she's a beauty! I love that every bud on her is done at the same time...nature is perfect and when you let it be it is amazing the way it works itself out!

Anyways i took a sample and got suuuper faded! Lol what do you guys think? Ready to go? My dry room is set and my jars are ready. Took off most fan leaves today and leaving her in the dark until i take her down tomorrow night!

Very nice it definently looks ripe, cool looking plant too- what strain is it? What are you going to do with it after the chop? I've heard something about chopping close to the root, then hanging whole plant upside down for 3-4 days before trimming (this supposably lets the semi-alive plant convert the rest of its nutrients into resin as it is in shock). Dunno thought I'd throw it out there, good job though!

Definitly hang the whole plant. It will help to keep her from drying to fast. And everything that is in the stems will go into the buds. Good job growing her. Looks great.

i really hope that you're kidding about the everything in the stems will go into the buds part m8?? what exactly do you expect to go into the buds from the stems by hanging the plants upside down?

Im pretty sure my boy Dyna is talking about the moisture from the stems...i live in Cali and ive been looking for ways to slow my dry time...i clipped a nug and it dried way too fast with our low RH :/

Thanks tho Dyna, def hanging her whole.. i yook off almost all fan leaves today and bought a humidifier... should be able to perfect this one with my hygrometer! Super excited man!

Thanks man! I thought she looked done too...she's a Master Kush clone i rooted myself from my two big babies lol i grew these two from seed and LSTd em, vegging 4.5 months...

Im gonna hang this clone whole in a tin shed with a small fan on low and a cool mist humidifier...like i said want this girl to dry slow so i can cure her right...i got two 16oz mason jars full of a fallen branch from my main grow...they're smelling nicer and nicer so i think i got a feel for when they need to go in jars...gonna harvest em by the 10th the latest and hopefully get a Lb total!

Nice and I'm sure you will easily surpass your expectations for the LB. Beautiful plants and good job being patient, most on here haven't been lately IMO.

When u hang the whole plant the moisture in the stalk and stems will help the buds from drying as fast. The whole purpose to hang drying is to slow the process down. Other wise we would just cut'em up and throw them out in the sun or in the oven to quick dry. All the old timers say it increases thc also.

She is down! Cut her at the base around 530p and gonna hang dry for about 2 days before jarring her.

She looks and smells amazing!

if you only dry her for 2 days and jar it, it will mold. you need more than two days to dry.

^^ what he said. Hanging a complete plant with all the stems, 2 days is not near enough. 5 days MINIMUM and that may not be enough.

Lol imma grow all clones next year about this size...maybe like 8 of em...no popcorn buds and they're portable and easy to manage...my main grow has 3 months of veg on this girl....theyre fairly large, hard to move, and the branches are falling over, popcorn buds on bottom half bc of a dense canopy....im hoping to get 1.5-2oz off this one i just took down.. if i do its on next year, aiming for a Lb!

Its Master Kush (hindu kush x skunk) from Nirvana... grew two large girls and took clones..kept just this one...she loved to go purply on me!

Im in So Cal tho...RH is pretty low, it was 20% on Tuesday..i let hang for 2-3 days and its crispy on the outside bouncy on the inside...any longer its crispy as fuck with no chance of curing..i over dried a branch already from my main grow....to be honest im not even counting days, going by the feel of the bud and stems

2-3 days =mold, im in so cal as well, and i learned the hard way, hope you dont....

Nah man i believe you im just checking... like i said not really counting days just watching the buds

I want a slower dry, i love that kush taste and ill wait to get it lol i even bought a humidifier just in case...so 5 days min you think?...were averaging 72% humidity past 2 days until 12 noon...then it falls to the 50% ideal range until 6pm then jumps up again

Shouldnt she be hung for something like 5-7 days? In 2 days, she'll still be plenty plenty moist. Wait longer than 2 days to jar.

From what ive read its 5-7 days with a temperature between 60-80° and an RH of 45-55%....ive been over 80° and under 40% RH until just yesterday... im just adjusting for my scenario . ..i have to dry in a uninsulated tin shed outside....well see how it goes got my hygrometer today!
